Rainbow Cheesecake from AWORKS Cafe in Gakugei Daigaku.
Note: This cafe recently moved locations- The new address is Takaban2-23, Meguro.
This quaint cafe in the quiet neighborhood in Gakudai is famous for their cheesecakes - most notably their Rainbow Cheesecake - and it’s a feat of careful craftsmanship. The texture of the filling is smooth across colors, and contrary to the stigma of rainbow colored foods, it’s delicately delicious. The cream cheese filling is light and fluffy that’s hard to stop picking at.
What’s more, it comes with a lemon squeezer that you can use to squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the cheesecake, which virtually transforms it into a lemon tart.
Needless to say their other cheesecakes are great as well. Their Caramel pumpkin cheesecake is T H I C C. The caramel flavor evenly distributed into the smooth cheesecake filling underlined by the hearty pumpkin flavor.
If you come at an early time they’ll have a variety of cheesecakes, but you’ll have to visit to find out what they have on that day. You may be able to find the chocolate-mint Oreo, Caramel Banana, Plain Classico, Gorgonzola, Peach, Hoji-Cha Tea, Almond Caramel, Maple walnut, Cassis Framboise, Chocolate Banana, Rum Raisin, ‘Pinkberry’, Pistachio, etc etc...
Bring a book or a Reddit thread you’ve been meaning to dive into, get the cake set with a cup of coffee and have a pleasant time at AWORKS!
