And then that time of day rolls around where you start to slow down, or you get stuck in traffic on your way home, or you get so busy you forget to eat a meal and then your STARVING and need a snack! .

A snack should be about 100 to 150 calories and should be rich in fiber to help hold you over, but HELLO WERE STARVING, RIGHT!

One of my new favorite snacks is these plantain chips from Barnana! So yummy and if I happen to devour the entire bag its only a 5oz bag anyway so I havent completely undone my great day of eating and such a better option than the cool ranch doritios I would normally reach for!

This shake, I have it everyday...same ingredients (sometimes blueberries, sometimes not), same time.
But...for just over 2 weeks now something has changed - my legs are more inflamed and hurting more than usual and my gut is a mess, cramps and gas...it’s horrible!
I’m pretty plain, so it’s rare that I switch things up but a few weeks ago I saw these #barnana plantain chips all over IG and I had to try them, YES bananas KILL my gut but I thought maybe I could handle these.
Of course as soon as all the issues mysteriously popped up I blamed it on those damn plantain chips, threw the open bag away and swore off the unopened bags.
But the inflammation, pain and gut issues persisted EVEN without the chips... For days I racked my brain...what was I doing differently
Just over 2 weeks ago I started adding spirulina into my shake. Of course I started doing my research as I always do and although spirulina has awesome benefits and can have not so awesome benefits too...Spirulina may cause autoimmune reactions in some who are susceptible to autoimmunity - that’s me!
I think too much of a good thing is exactly that, too much for my body to handle. I also thought I’d share that the entire 8 months I was vegan, I used spirulina powder A LOT and my gut was a mess but I wasn’t sure why. Now I think I know!

Finally trying these @barnana dark chocolate chewy banana bites! These are super yummy and a great healthy snack! They remind me of chocolate covered raisins only bigger and have a banana taste! If you like bananas and chocolate there is no way you won’t like this! It’s chewy and delicious. The banana gives a lot of flavor and goes super well with the dark chocolate. The dark chocolate isn’t bitter at all and it tastes more like milk chocolate to me! Love this as a great healthy snack option or healthy dessert. 8/10!
