SUPRISE! Our wonderful pig Pearl delivered two healthy male piglets this morning. We have one little pinky, and a black one just like her. She successfully passed both placentas...three hours later. She is now in a soft clean stall with her two babies, and a heat lamp to keep them warm. They both suckled, and she's doing great for her first time being a mama. Her sisters are also giving birth today at the other rescues! #pigsofinstagram #piglets #oink #babies #birth #barns #babypig #rescue #teeny #adoptdontshop #notgonnabebacon
I met a horse the other day. I've been really busy with work and life so I haven't been social mediaing alot. Enjoy this video of the horse and stay tuned for my next post.

After six plus weeks of lots of painting, branding and design work and really hot weather, it’s time to ride. The clouds are huge and the sun is out. The high is 79 degrees and if this is a Fall weather preview I’m all in. Remember to take time and do the things you love. Riding is #soulcare for me and being out on the road. Doesn’t matter where I’m at, whether I find some cool places to photograph, that feeling of wind and sun on my face makes me smile. I don’t know where the journey takes me today but I do the [email protected]Portland wow this: Be kind to yourself. Be kind to others.

Amazing what a few months of hard work can do. 👏🏻
We now only have three barns left for sale. Here you can see the beautiful Cartway Barn, with stone work dating back to 1822 it is full of history but has been given a new lease of life. Would make the most amazing family home 👋🏡
I have about 2 hours a day to run errands without children. This morning I decided it was a great day to can pickles so I went off to my local farm stand and got 20lbs of pickles for $20. Wish me luck.
Drooling a little bit over this stunning barn. Thanks for sharing @hfhinc

My barn and all the animals came out of the kiln yesterday, and I am happy with how it turned out! I’m definitely keeping this one... I may even need to make a few cows, a dog, maybe a raised bed garden. Playing is FUN!!

I don’t post too many photos of myself on here but I want to share something with you, especially anyone going through a hard time.
1 year ago I was in a horse accident and it wasn’t the horses fault. He was just being a horse. I was kicked in the head and fractured half my face, broke a majority of my facial bones on the right side of my face, and fractured my jaw. After 18 hours of being in the ER, being ambulance to the Mayo in Rochester, I then had a 4 hour jaw reconstruction surgery.
I had 14 screws in my jawline for 6 weeks, pretty much had braces again. For 6 weeks I couldn’t eat solid foods. I lived off of liquids for the first week and 1/2 then I had to reteach myself to eat.
After a week at one of my appointments I asked my doctor if I could still do my Equine Massage class in Rapid City. He looked at me like I was crazy. 😜 But they were surprised with my motivation and my will to keep working with horses. 3 weeks after my accident I got certified in Equine Massage. 8 weeks after my accident I was riding horses along with Missouri River and helping move cows.
Moral of the story, no matter what you are going through, you are not alone. When everything seems to be falling apart in your life, that is where you find yourself and what you are made of.💛

I woke up at 4:30 to take a picture of a barn. One of the most recognizable scenes in #GrandTeton, this humble little structure has been photographed hundreds of thousands of times. There were several other photographers already in position when I arrived, all taking their own versions of this same photo. It’s kinda funny that we all slithered out of our tents before sunrise when just typing the keywords “Grand Teton barn” will provide you with over 1 million results on Google Photos. It takes 0.66 seconds and you don’t even have to leave your bed. But I suppose these pictures are more than exposures to their owners. Mine isn’t the best, the first, or the last picture of this barn, but it belongs to me, and when I look at it I remember what it’s like to roll out of bed while it’s still mostly dark outside, to creep into the blurry morning and breathe the cool mountain air, and to wonder what precious metals this barn must be made of to get so many humans out of bed at such an absurd hour.
