After and Before of the small bathroom remodel at #clientlittlebrickhouse.
Kids and guests share this bathroom so a large wall mount medicine cabinet wasn’t gonna work. We moved the storage space to a deep vanity which is easily accessible for the “teacup humans.” (True Blood wasn’t my favorite, but it did give us the best description of children. 😉) We decided less was more on countertop space as the client preferred a larger sink to contain messes better. Kids can rinse out sinks (yes, we know kids still might not) easier than remembering to wipe down countertops. And the less clutter in a smaller space the better.
2 design things to note: For some reason the mirror was hung a couple inches too low. Easy fix and was raised.
The glass shower partition is a personalized decision. Our client really didn’t want a shower curtain or sliding track glass door. We love the look of seeing all the new tile but sometimes people don’t enjoy the functionality of getting in the shower before you turn it on. It’s not an issue for a lot of people (obviously including our client) but it’s something to be mindful about.
This little corner of our master bathroom was the saddest place in our house until now! New vanity, updated closet door and my favorite spot for plants...for anyone else with a “black thumb” the bathroom is the best place to start with plants because when you forget to take care of them as least they get some moisture from our shower! 😂 We were going to replace the door but I decided to add this trim, paint and new hardware and it worked out perfectly!
Sooo. Round 2 with the bathroom tile stencil. I already love this more than the first try (see former posts). The cabinets in the bathroom will be painted dark navy and new granite counters and sinks will finish it off. I hope to finish today. #bathroomremodel, #dyi, #chalkpaint, #anniesloanchalkpaint,
