Thanks for all of your messages regarding my art this week. Figured in addition to answering each of them, I’d give you a quick post on - How to order my art!
The easiest way is to DM me! -
My Etsy shop is live but, currently the majority of my recent creations have been custom made on demand which gives my clients room to collaboratively select the color palette, choose between fluid paint or resin, type of platform - tray or canvas, mixed media additions - sea shells, sand, glitter, gem stones, crystals etc. This also gives freedom for multiple potential art creations.
Prices vary based on type of art requested. Shoot me a DM. And I will work with you to bring your vision to life, and if you have no rules than I will bring my vision to life for you! I will take a few more (local) orders through the weekend in order to guarantee Christmas gifts! #artresin #artist #artoftheday #ocean #oceanic #resinart #resinartist #homegoods #homedecor #nautical #beachart #beachlife #beach #abstractart_daily #abstractart #resin #resinart #acrylicpainting #fluidart #fluidpainting #homegoods #homedecor #homedecoration
Current situation... 🤪 I think I’m ready for some more space! I’m so excited I can start moving into the new studio next week! 🙌 hopefully this is the last time giant paintings are forced to take over our spare bedroom...
Everything I use in my seashell art I have find locally, right here on these beautiful Cape Cod beaches. It’s been getting harder and harder to find these big, hearty mussel shells.. but that just means I get to keep on searching 👣🌊🐚 🌸
“Bride of the Wind” from the Electric Storm Series
This original acrylic painting is 23”x37”x2.5” Gallery Wrapped Canvas and is available.if interested, send me a DM or follow link in bio to Seascapes/Electric Storm series. #denverartgallery #seascapepainting
Finito, favorito. This pineapple and palm combo with real gold leafing is a new personal fav of mine. 🍍🌴 I was sad to see it go, but before I packaged up the original for the new owner I made sure to create a print! Is it vain to order a print of your own piece If so, don’t tell me because it’s already happening 😂 #karleyart
Some close up shots from “MERCURY” (oil on canvas 1.5m x 2m). Available for purchase soon!
“Pray for the Tiger” acrylic on canvas 92cm x 92cm
Inspired by the @newyorkermag article “The Obsessive Search for the Tasmanian Tiger”, an interesting read about the belief that the thylacine still hides in the forests of Tassie to this day, arguably a manifestation of our desire to be forgiven by the earth, and for an indication that it is bigger than us and our destruction.
These two will not be for sale as they’re already in London with my sissy @imomckay 🙃
Got another big one in the works! I actually started this one first, as I’ve been painting more than one simultaneously. Keeps things fresh in my mind.✨
“MERCURY” oil on canvas 1.5m x 2m.
This one stands well over head height which makes it difficult to photograph 😂
I’d say it’s 99% finished - I STILL can’t resist tinkering with it. I use 3 different methods for ‘editing’ a painting - looking at it in a mirror, turning it upside down, and photographing it. When you’ve been painting something for a long time you kinda can’t see the wood for the trees. These tricks help you see the piece with a fresh pair of eyes so you can see it as a whole and notice the problems in composition and colour. Already looking at this thumbnail size image I’ve made note of what needs balancing.
Let me know what you think 🙂
One day I hope to have a sunlit studio to paint in... for now my balcony will have to do. Reserve Art Prize opening night tomorrow! I want to update my website portfolio before then so I’ve got my work cut out for me 🎨
Close up of a lil speed painting I did after a morning swim. Counting down the days till summer 🙏
A lil speed painting 🙃
“LAGO” oil on canvas 92cm x 92cm. I painted this one for the Darlington Reserve Arts Prize. Wish me luck 🤞
