THE EYE 👁 work in progress
When I started liking to draw, which was not always, I enjoyed drawing an eye. I often find myself randomly doodling an eye when ever I have a pen and paper on hand. Here I’m going back to the basics of what I know with a twist I’ve been patiently waiting to express- to add my jandala there as well. I remember looking at other artist years ago and knew that when I’m ripe enough, I will start painting like that. I tried dimensional drawings with paints but they never truly satisfied me. It’s because I was not ready for that. I had to deepen myself, unpeel some onion layers, learn through unlearning. Patience is not my virtue when it comes to art. With every creative adventure I’m learning to enjoy the slow process. It’s so easy for me to start something, get bored and not finish. I’m really learning to accept my creative being who always and all the time wants to create and finish something RIGHT NOW. Somethimes this “right now” leads me to unnecessary suffering and me not fully enjoying the process. I have this “tunnel” in my minds eye where I chronologically see how far some idea or dream is from manifesting, and when I take too big step, I’m always not ready for it. So slowing down, really slowing down and trusting, that everything will unfold according to divine timing, is necessary in this process.

Ever since the arts festival I haven’t been too keen on drawing mandalas. I think the pressure to make MORE MORE MORE has really burned me out. Plus I’ve been trying to work on my festival outfit creation more.
But hey, I managed to finish this little project and I just need to add some watercolor to it now. @medeuca - my next drawing project is gonna be a mandala for you to color ❤️
