I had some home made Margherita pizza yesterday with my fresh tuna fillet with pesto from the oven, and it was a weird combo but so yummy😋😀! I didn't feel bad or anything. It was yummy together with a big green salad, and it was Saturday. To live a healthy lifestyle and be in desired weight and shape, doesn't need to be so hard, neither should it be dogmatic. Because it will often not work. Yes, if you are working to get a visible six-pack, you must be almost dogmatic or at least most often super conscious about both nutrition and exercise. But for "normal" situations; eating something extra yummy occasionally is OK and I even recommend it. While snacking everyday or eating unhealthy everyday is something that isn't the best thing to do, especially not if you want to get into better shape. So get back to basics. Eat proper food. Get satisfied and happy, while getting healthier. Then enjoy a treat sometimes and enjoy it. Ditch diet this and that, and embrace a balanced and healthy lifestyle instead. Now during Ramadan and after Ramadan in Shaa Allah. I had some home made Margherita pizza yesterday with my fresh tuna fillet with pesto from the oven, and it was a weird combo but so yummy😋😀! I didn't feel bad or anything. Made this salad with quinoa, fresh cilantro, cucumber, carrots, tomato and the dressing with mustard sauce, lime and honey. It tastes even better than it looks! Really.

When I first started my Instagram account, I used to post about all the dine-out or the take-out meals (which used to be 2-3 times a week and consisted mostly of pizza, chicken nuggets, wine and sometimes Margaritas for even breakfast). I do not know exactly when and how my eating habits took an almost 180° turn. Now when I scroll through my feed I can clearly see how much I have changed over last 2.5 years. Food was only a tiny part of the whole transformation that happened within me.

No. I am not against eating pizzas or wine. I still occasionally eat pizzas and brownies. But I prefer simple homemade food now. After lots of trial and error, ups and downs, I have finally found my balance. I have been to both extremes during this time and now I can proudly say that I have learnt to understand my body's needs.

My Instagram feed is a reminder of how far I have come and it works as a cheerleader for me when I am down.

I hear ya! It’s so easy to get mad or simply dismissive and just don’t give a sh*t over issues/tasks that bother us, or take too much of an effort.

The thing is that this kind of behavior only gets us temporary relief.

You know what I mean? When you’re saying that you don’t give a sh*t about X, you already shifted your attitude and with that, your mood. So maybe you don’t engage in an activity you dislike, but you assume an undesirable attitude.

You get slightly annoyed and indifferent. Neither promotes well-being, creativity or progress, so you are really not doing yourself a favor.

Try this for a day. Give a sh*t. Notice how you’ll feel while and afterwards and what prolonged effect it will make on you.

Chopped up 2 organic apples and made a sauce by blending together dates, canned coconut milk, cinnamon and cacao then topped it off with some hemp hearts👌🏻 so simple but SO DELISH💦

Recipe-> 1/4 cup pitted dates + 1 tbsp cacao powder + 1/4 cup canned coconut milk + cinnamon
.
Blend together until smooth, adjust thickness by adding in more or less coconut milk 👏🏻

Such a healthy and energizing snack or even dessert 👏🏻😍

Isn’t popcorn the best?! 🍿 We make it on the stovetop with just coconut oil and it’s one of my favorite snacks. When you make your own popcorn and don’t buy the bagged varieties you get a much healthier snack free from the toxic 🚫 chemicals from the bag and additives; a whole grain, low calorie, high fiber 🌱 snack; & you’ve decreased your waste 🗑 because you aren’t throwing out a plastic wrapper, the bag, then the box! 💫 Here’s how we make our stovetop popcorn:
1. Add 1/4c coconut oil and 2 kernels into a pot with a lid to medium high heat.
2. When those kernels pop, I add 1/2c of kernels. Sometimes I’ll add a little bit of salt here too
3. I take the pot off the heat, shake around my pot, then add it back to the heat. As the kernels pop, kind of give the pot a shake so that you’re not burning the popcorn. 
4. When the popping slows down (2-3minutes) take the pot off the heat, and keep the lid on but what so the steam can release.
5. Guten Appetite!

You know, taking a walk before iftar or stretching will actually give you more energy. Unless you're craving to sleep, do something active. It'll benefit you. Or do Pilates or bodyweight training. I just got some feedback from another sis who is training during this Ramadan for the first time, and she's feeling amazing. But the thing is also, that you don't have to be so hard on yourself. It's normal that you'll be hungry and tired. I use to be starving and my stomach use to be noisy for food already by noon time, regardless of a proper and good suhoor. But that doesn't mean that sleeping is better than doing some glutes and abdominal exercises or going out for a walk listening to the birds and feeling the sun. You just need to adjust and move with your body, not against.

But besides that I have always had bad (like REALLY BAD), neck pain. When I first got my starter kit I used Lavender and Panaway to help. Then I found Deep Relief. World changed!! Like seriously, days were manageable.

Lately I haven't been taking care of myself properly. (No stretches, and no chiropractor work.) Because of the lack of helping myself, my neck has really been a bother. A few months back I got some Cool Azul Pain Relief Cream samples with my monthly wellness box, for free. I put them in my bathroom drawer and disregarded them. Well today I pulled one out and put like the smallest amount on and 😭. Like seriously crying! It's a huge big brother to Deep Relief. I'll be adding this to my wellness box.

I've never used pain relief creams, but now I can say I use one! And the beauty of this one is, it does all the hard work without all the yucky synthetic ingredients. I can't say enough how thankful I am for finding Young Living.

It’s FRIYAY and zaaa night my two fav things 🙌🏻🍕 I did a poll on my stories a few days ago asking whether you’d pick sushi or pizza if you had to choose and I was shocked to see sushi won by a lot! I looove sushi but pizza is the best thing on the planet, I’m so happy there are healthier versions available! This is a gluten free cauliflower crust that I got pre made from @officialfarmboy . Topped with tomato sauce, shrimp, cherry tomatoes, red onion, broccoli, artichokes, black olives, @nutsforcheese un -brie-liveable vegan cheese and nutritional yeast 🤤

It’s FRIYAY and zaaa night my two fav things 🙌🏻🍕 I did a poll on my stories a few days ago asking whether you’d pick sushi or pizza if you had to choose and I was shocked to see sushi won by a lot! I looove sushi but pizza is the best thing on the planet, I’m so happy there are healthier versions available! This is a gluten free cauliflower crust that I got pre made from @officialfarmboy . Topped with tomato sauce, shrimp, cherry tomatoes, red onion, broccoli, artichokes, black olives, @nutsforcheese un -brie-liveable vegan cheese and nutritional yeast 🤤 What’s your fav pizza topping I can’t live without black olives and my new obsession is artichokes on everything 👌🏻
