CHEERS!🥂Raise your glasses(or coffee mugs☕️) to those who are setting goals and GOING AFTER them. We’re nearing the end of February, and I like to think I’m better than I started. I started studying God’s word for myself, memorizing scripture, working through a NEW workout program, where I get to press play for 20 freakin’ minutes and be done, and kicking school in the behind right now(all glory to God for THAT).🤷🏼♀️ But what would’ve happened if I wouldn’t have moved forward this year Where would I have been if I hadn’t started at all You will get so much further in your goals when you just START. Obviously it’s still early in the year, but we are never promised tomorrow. So why don’t we GO FOR IT! Start your faith journey, join a challenge group, get involved in study sessions. Do what ya gotta do to just get started. You’ll make it a lot farther than if you hadn’t.✨
This is so true, I seriously don’t know where I would be without God. I’ll never forget before I knew God I was so lost, I didn’t know what a life with purpose was, I didn’t know what true love was, I didn’t know what it was to have a relationship with God, I didn’t understand true joy, peace, and there at 18 years old He met me exactly where I was. Grace became so real to me that night. Sharing my full testimony soon on podcast.
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing
If you want to be an example, be an example through your actions! You can tell someone what they should do all you want, but unless they see you do it, they won’t even think of following in your footsteps. ⠀
If you want to be an example, be the example you would wan to follow! :)
A lot of us are accidentally becoming more self-centered, but I have an idea.
What if instead of asking to be served, we asked, “how can I serve”
What if we were all looking for how we could serve each other, with no expectations of reciprocity
What if we sacrificed our own wants for each other’s more often
Serving others feels good. It feels way better than serving yourself. It’s designed that way. We too often use the “I have to fill my own cup before I can fill someone else’s with my overflow” analogy as an excuse to be selfish.
Let’s help that friend move if we can, even after a hard week at work.
Let’s give up a Saturday once in a while to babysit for a friend.
Let’s go out of our ways to do more favors, even when they’re not convenient.
We’re not going to be perfect servants, but we can all commit to trying a little harder I think, me included. Let’s love each other better.
