Today I’m partnering with @justreadtours, Author Denise Hunter ( @deniseahunter )and Publisher Thomas Nelson ( @tnzfiction )
to bring you:
Lake Season .
The first story in a brand-new series, Lake Season invites readers to the Bluebell Inn in a small North Carolina town where a lost letter, a chance for new love, and old secrets beckon.
When their parents die in a tragic accident, Molly Bennett and her siblings pull together to fulfill their parents’ dream of turning their historic Bluebell, North Carolina, home back into an inn. Staying in town would be temporary—three years at most—then they plan to sell the inn, and Molly can get back to chasing her own dreams.
Adam Bradford (aka bestselling author Nathaniel Quinn) is a reclusive novelist with a bad case of writer’s block. Desperate for inspiration as his deadline approaches, he travels to the setting of his next book, a North Carolina lake town. There, he meets his muse, a young innkeeper who fancies herself in love with his alter ego.
Molly and Adam strike up an instant friendship. When Molly finds a long-lost letter in the walls of her inn, she and Adam embark on a mission to find the star-crossed lovers and bring them the closure they deserve. But Adam has secrets he isn’t ready to share. Past and present collide as truths surface, and Molly and Adam will have to decide if love is worth trusting.

#TheLibraryofUnreadBooks is an itinerant #library initiated by #HemanChong and #ReneeStaal. It is a living reference library with a collection of over 1000 titles, that traces the perimeters of #knowledge and reflects on notions of access, excess and the politics of #redistribution.
Every single book you find in the collection was once #privateproperty and has been donated by an individual who did not read it when it was in their possession. Contributors to the growing #mobilelibrary receive a personalised library card and a lifetime membership. The Library of Unread Books brings to light these once-hidden-away titles to emphasize shared knowledge. The books, which are accessible to anyone who can visit the library sites, work to create a #commons.
The #books of The Library of Unread Books are arranged randomly and in stacks, in a setting that encourages visitors to feel at home and re-arrange the books according to will and desire. Reminding us that a (private) library is both a means to an end and a research tool rather than an accessory, #UmbertoEco famously called for an “ #antilibrary” made up of #unreadbooks. The novelist and scholar argued that read books are far less valuable than the #unread ones and that a library should contain as much of what one does not know as finance might allow. “You will accumulate more knowledge and more books as you grow older, and the growing number of unread books on the shelves will look at you menacingly.” In the case of this library of unread books, access to knowledge is not contingent on finance, and so the books are reverted back to a common resource pool. #Bookstagram #BooksOfInstagram #LibrariesOfInstagram #Libraries #Dubai
The plot mainly follows the world through the lens of a cat一the protagonist’s cat—while the consciousness is that of the protagonist her-very-self. It’s just too bad that she finds herself in the body of her pet cat, living out its insouciant life. Not unlike a dreamer watching herself in a dream yet frustratingly powerless to act voluntarily. The narrative itself can be discombobulating: now it’s in the first person, now it’s Dolores the protagonist, now it’s X the cat; then it’s her perfidious husband, then it’s her protective dad. The waters got so muddied for me, I withdrew the bookmark for good before chapter two could end. The saving grace to grant it the benefit of doubt the following night The laudable writing. Literary, no doubt, whilst by turns acerbic and facetious, pervaded with clever, metaphorical brain teasers—think Colson Whitehead, Eric Chevillard and their ilk. Which was when I found my foothold, and am I glad I hung around long enough. Although, I still can’t get my head around “But the champagne cork is back in the bottle”. Then again, we don’t have to understand everything in life, do we

Possible Spoilers. Guaranteed Mess.
I instantly was sucked into this magical story. Sorcha is a strong, independent, educated woman who stands up for what she believes in. She is very close with her family and is proud that they work hard even though their profession is looked down upon by others. Socha is forced into a situation because of a deadly plague that has a hold of her father. When I met the "Beast" I was locked in. It was such an imaginative form for him to take that my mind ran wild imagining this man with rock and crystals for scars. It seemed both beautiful and terrifying at the same time. Stone (as Sorcha calls him) is such a deep character that I fell in love with him even though he made it hard at first.
This retelling is not the basic switch up or modern day take. It is an entirely new and imaginative world. The characters based on Belle, Beast, Gaston and others are transformed completely and put in a fantasy world full of every mystical and magical creature you could ever want!
I highly recommend you add on the narrator. I truly believe she does not just tell the story but enhances it with her accent and voices. I am a huge fan of hers now and for this Irish fae story her voice was perfection!
QOTD: What is your favorite retelling (Either book or story)

“You may not be the first to say it, write it, create it, or believe it—but you saying it may be the first time someone finally hears. Yes, someone else can say it better, but that doesn’t mean you can’t say it too. Throw out your inhibitions and spin around in this crazy world of recycled ideas. There is nothing new to say. Say it anyway.” ― Emily P. Freeman in A Million Little Ways: Uncover the Art You Were Made to Live
I so loved this book. There are several quotes that I could spend hours writing my thoughts on, but this one in particular was probably the most meaningful to me at this particular stage in my life. The essence of this quote is what I love the most: your contribution and my contribution to this world are valuable. They are worth something. My thoughts as I sit here and type this post today matter. It’s easy to convince myself that they don’t. It’s easy to tell myself that nothing I have to say makes any real difference in the world. Someone has already said that thing a thousand times before, I tell myself everyday it seems like. What Freeman is saying here though is simple: It doesn’t matter that it’s been said before, it doesn’t matter that someone said it better than I ever could—what matters is that I said it. What matters is that I (and you) step out in courage and speak our truth regardless of what has been said or written or created before.
So to you: Speak your truth. Turn off the voice that says that your creation doesn’t matter or is already used up. The voice that says that is the voice that wants to keep you from coming alive. Shut it up. Create your art, tell your story, write your poem, sing your song. It’s all beautiful. It’s all worthy of coming out of that beautiful place inside of you.

~Fire In My Heart
A season of shooting stars 💫is a book of a collection of 171 poems . The book is divided into four parts
The poems are not too long and the poet has been able to concise all the emotions in just a few lines.
The poems are mostly inspired by nature and the poet has even observed miniscule details around us and beautifully portrayed them into amazing themes such as love, heart breaks, self helps, reality and many more .
Beautiful metaphors has been used. The illustrations as well as the amazing allegories add a different feel to the book✨🌟 Some of my favorites are 'There you will find me' 'Mothers and suns' and ' Do not call it a beast '. ⭐
Coming to the other parts, I found that in some poems the poet concentrated too much on Universalistic allegories which made it appear scientific instead. Those poems lacked emotions
But overall it's an amazing book and can be finished in one sitting . 🌟-3.5/5
AOTD: not much, actually!

🍂It’s one of those days, isn’t it😫Where I should have just stayed in bed
🍂I’m not having one of the best days but I’m powering through💪, which brings me to an important subject.
🍂How social media is affecting us. How what we post and write, have a very strong impact on others. Subconsciously!
🍂I find myself posting all the good stuff that is happening to me.😅I hardly show my down days. Or my hard-working days. Looking at my IG stories, I get a lot of comments about how my life is all about reading books📚, drinking coffee☕️ , good food 🥘 , good friends 👯 and a good home.
🍂Alhamdulillah, I do have all that… I’m thankful and I’m grateful.🙏
🍂But what I’m trying to say is, I have my struggles. I have my down days, I have my issues!!
🍂I have enough drama to last me a lifetime. 🙂
🍂There are days where I just don’t want to get out of bed or face the world😣. There are days where I’m super sensitive and crying all day. On the most stupid stuff. And it’s ok to have those days.
🍂I have my broke days.😁Where it’s only lentil soup till payday...I’m being a bit extreme but seriously, don’t get fooled by the media or what people post. The grass is not greener on the other side. It’s awesome on your side if you count your blessings.☺️🥳
❗️Are you fooled by the media Or are you fooling us😀
🍂Long post today but I want you to count how many times I have used the word “DAY/DAYS”🤣🤣🤣 .

What is your favourite paranormal/fantasy romance books Comment below ! 💕💕 Effie
Here lies the crux of this book: “We are all of us, wandering about in as state of oblivion, borrowing our time , seizing our days, escaping our fates, slipping through loopholes, unaware of when the axe may fall.” And in between all these near hits and misses lies life. 17 closed encounters with life/ death, which ever way you prefer, the Irish- British writer Maggie O’ Farrell with her astute sense of observation of things on fringes , narrates tales of her nimble footed escapes from the clutches of her dangerous encounters and life threatening illness and everything ferocious in between. This heaviness of the subject should have left me all sad and solemn instead I came out on the other side of the 17 +1 chapters, light and grateful and full of sophisticated language . She stands on a median line between life and death and treats us with the tales and as she says at one place in the book, she would say : ‘I did it for us’. .

BOOK REVIEW NO. 2: ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ - Delia Owens 📚
🤓 Quick synopsis: ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ tells the story of Kya Clark, known locally as the ‘Marsh Girl’, as she grows up in the marsh that she calls home, alone and abandoned by everyone she’s ever known. When the town’s football star, Chase Andrews, is found dead, the locals - who have rejected her for years - immediately suspect Kya. The stories of the murder investigation and Kya’s life intertwine and invite the reader to understand the power of nature, love and loss.
💭 My thoughts and feelings: There’s a reason Reese Witherspoon’s online book club chose to read the novel last year and she’s now turning it into a film. Following Kya from the ages of six to 25, you feel as though you’ve known Kya for years. It’s beautifully written and you will fall in love with the marsh in the same way Kya has, wanting to know every little piece of how the story unfolds.
You’ll smile, you’ll feel tense, you’ll be so incredibly angry with the town for rejecting her that you’ll feel like yelling into the pages of the book. It will keep you hanging right until the very last page, so much so that you may be forced to read the last four pages once you’ve got off the train on the way home…
I was genuinely gutted to finish it! 10/10 would recommend! // #wherethecrawdadssing #deliaowens #reading #books #bookworm
A modern take on the beloved Romeo and Juliet 💛
When I found out that that Steiner went with the classic Shakespearean trope, I almost wept with happiness! Forbidden love HELL YES. Logan and Mallory are as polar opposite as it gets and, yet, perfectly complimentary making their chemistry HOT, HOT, HOT 🔥
The family history, the tragedy, the MYSTERY. Did I mention the heat Lots and lots of heat. The queen of angst will pull at your heartstrings with this emotional read. (5/5 ⭐)
