hi guys! ✌️ just wanted to talk a lil about meditation. I’ve been meditating on and off for the past two years or so and i honestly notice such a positive difference when I do. I took this photo this summer when I was consistently meditating 🤗 and the past week or so I’ve woken up and meditated just for just five minutes before starting my day and it just makes me so much more clearheaded. I highly recommend the app @headspace , as that’s the one I use and love. I have also heard wonderful things about @calm app and the meditation on equinox. but honestly you could even just go on YouTube and find some guided meditation too!! It may seem strange when you start out but it has so many benefits (helps with sleep, reduces stress and anxiety, increases your compassion, etc) that I really recommend just giving it a shot and trying it out! ❤️ have a great day!! xx ✨

Our family makes pancakes about 3 days a week... Often they range from #paleo to #vegan, #grainless, #glutenfree, #dairyfree or sweet potato... I don't really discriminate-- I just eat them all. So I embrace each moment of each day.⠀
I make ME a priority for just a bit, which means I make some sacrifices. I eat out a little less, I buy less DD coffee, I save a little 💵 here and there to invest in my health. ⠀
I spend more on healthier food choices and products that fuel me. I put down my iPad and sleep 6-7 hours because I know that heals my body & mind. #CHOICES⠀
We all have choices. 🥰⠀
Isn’t that the most amazing part about life ⠀
And today I choose to work my program for 20 min with my accountability group, then i choose to give my all to my kids and then I ran 3 glorious miles with two amazing women who push me!⠀
I think about choices today as I have spoken to so many who have specific health and fitness goals but aren’t sure what path to take or how to invest themselves. ⠀
Sometimes the right choice is right in front of you.. the motivation & support will be there as well. ⠀
Embrace that choice and trust the process. ⠀
We have to get comfortable being uncomfortable... then the changes you hope for will come. ⠀
February 1st... my Feb group is just the motivation ya need to push through the winter months. I NEED IT TOO. ⠀

Making waves about water and hydration today on our #2019WellnessWithin series. Check out @nicole.neamusic’s page for some recommendations around general water/fluid intake. Meanwhile, over here at Live.Green.Be.Well I’ll be focusing on foods to keep you hydrated all year long. Most people only think about needing to hydrate during the warm seasons when we tend to sweat, but the reality is, hydration is important year round, and especially in the colder months.
In the colder months, we don’t tend to feel as thirsty, but the hot air used to heat homes, cars, and work spaces really dries us out. I felt this to the extreme traveling to Minnesota for work. Between airplane rides (very dehydrating!) and staying in hotels with constant air circulation and heated offices, I felt like a raisin!
In addition to staying adequately hydrated with fluids, certain foods can also help us out due to their high water content. Think fresh fruits and vegetables, which are composed mostly of water.
For example, cucumbers, radishes, lettuce, celery, watermelon, citrus fruits, strawberries, broccoli, cauliflower, and tomatoes are all examples of produce composed of over 90% water.
In general, consuming fresh/raw fruits and vegetables is a great way to stay hydrated. This is especially important if you are grabbing snacks for on the go! Other food options to consider for increasing hydration include applesauce, yogurts, soups, and smoothies.
