Corn snake, blue flag iris, and licorice fern for Daniel! I love doing species specific pieces 🤓
Because one never has enough creative projects in the works🤔🥰!! Have you tried Cyanotype printmaking! I took a great workshop at @brentwoodart a few months ago and have caught the Cyanotype bug! I picked up some 5X7 @natureprintpaper from @blickartmaterials in LA the other day and decided to try making a series of prints from palm clippings in my own yard🌴. Swipe for process shots. Check out my stories for more. And shop these freshly crashed beauties at Ojai Day this Saturday or message me! #artistlife #cyanotype #palmtrees

Whenever I see shell ginger in real life, I can’t help it, I have to touch the bulb blossoms. They’re irresistible

This shell ginger bowl has already found a new home but I thought I’d still share her details.
Currently I don’t have a website so just hit me up if anything I post interests you 🌺
Thousands of little details, I first paint layers & layers and then carve detail away using a dremel tool, with devoted attention to not cut through the canvas, but with enough strength to gauge away at the many layers. An up close look at this one and all the others from this collection are a must. The heat of the dremel often melts and manipulates the paint in unpredictable ways and creates a to die for matte finish to run your fingers along all the crevices.
Half of my soul is born of salt and endless expanses of water, the other half lays nestled in the moss between trees from centuries passed. I walk these two worlds knowing I could never give myself fully to one and abandon the other. I will be a dual citizen till the end of days.
The pearls used in this piece came from a mussel dinner wild foraged on the oregon coast. Pressed Black Barlow Columbine grown by a giving neighbor. Ripple glass scraps from a glass blowing friend and a thrifted piece of beveled glass.
This piece will be listed on my etsy this weekend, link in bio!
