Today brunch will be served till 12 BUT Saturday, Sunday AND Monday we will be serving All Day Brunch!

Not quite green eggs & ham .... but close ! Ham hock hash from @cafe_strange_brew with a substitution of poached eggs (rather than fried). It’s was a nice dish, but I wasn’t personally enamoured with the mustard dressing unfortunately. Christine’s baked eggs with mushroom & truffle smelled so fragrantly appetising though that I was tempted to swipe a dip across the table! Another southside brunch haven with casual waiting staff, potted plants, artwork and of course delicious food. A side of halloumi was compulsory, and definitely improves any meal in my opinion. Will just need to go back to try more from their varied delightful sounding menu 😍 burrata and pancakes - I’ll be coming for you!
Too pretty to eat 😍 the hot cakes at @potluck.glasgow are 1000% thee nicest pancakes I’ve ever had🥞 (and I’ve had a lotttt of pancakes😏) we went for the raspberry, white choc, peach & pistachio stack.. but their whole menu was to die for anddd they do oat milk 🙆🏻♀️☕️ sold.

👅👅👅👅👅👅👅👅👅Fried potato, feta and coriander rosti wiiiiiith warm tomatoes, cold yogurt and chermoula. Heavily inspired by my main man Yotam @ottolenghi. Very easy to make (I think I say that in almost every post but I swear it is!!!!!!). You’re going to grab some potatoes, I used red rooster maybe try sweet potato Or any root veg for that matter ... hmm. The salty feta compliments sweet root veg very well so experiment away. ANYWAY, you’re grabbing a couple large potatoes, an onion, three garlic cloves and you’re going to grate this into a large bowl. THEN, use an ugly tea towel, tip the grated ingredients out and rinse all the watery starchy shit out of it til it’s not a sloppy mess any more - back in the bowl, crumble feta in there and throw some chopped coriander in also (if you hate coriander you may as well unfollow me at this stage). A generous amount of salt goes in as well as dos eggs and a sprinkling of flour (just enough to bind). I used gram flour because we live in a world fearful of gluten. Mould into whatever shape you damn well please and fry both sides til crispy. Finish off in oven. My chermoula recipe is - preserved lemon rind of one lemon, juice of one lemon, a chilli, garlic, smoked paprika, ground cumin, coriander, olive oil, salt (blitz the lot, thats it). Spread ya cold yogurt on to a plate, top with ur rosti and toms (just fry them in a lil olive oil & salt), drizzle the chermoula over and add more coriander just because coriander is the best thing to exist ever thank u very much. Now eat 🍴

Potluck has been on my list of brunch spots in Glasgow to visit for a while, and we finally made it along this morning. I’ll leave sharing the majority of the detail to a blog post later, but if I had to say one thing right now ... I may have changed my order upon seeing this beauty waltz on by 😆🙄😂 I had ordered the potted Orkney crab with a side of hummus & sourdough, and promptly asked to swap it - to the Orkney crab with poached duck egg on toast, avocado & crème fraiche 😋 simply ‘cause it was flipping stunning and I would have had serious FOMO. I had liked this picture on their insta earlier today and should have known to stick to my original choice ! It was a flavour BOMB. The hummus was probably a bit much, but equally tasty and you gotta try more than one dish when visiting somewhere for the first time right ! #glasgowfood
