*A long time coming...* This board’s story must’ve started about 10 years ago, although it was only recently created when I heard from a client named Shane who wanted to surprise his wife Niki with a special bday gift. He said she’d been wanting one of the mirror mosaic boards ever since she first discovered my work in Ocean Beach. OB is a special place for me. The first place I ever showed my work was at the OB farmers market in early 2009. At the time I was living there, making all kinds of funky art and selling next to none of it. Even though sales were slow, the community was super encouraging & helped fuel my confidence to keep at it. I continued to hone my craft & eventually saw sales increase. The path wasn’t a straight line but by 2011 I had quit my day job and here I am closing in on a decade as a professional artist. Swipe to see one of my first OB market setups from 2009. At the time I was painting a lot of those alien looking figures & breaking the mirror for the boards by wrapping it in a bed sheet and smashing it with a hammer. What a long, strange trip it’s been! Thank you Niki for taking an interest in my art way back when and thank you Shane for helping to bring it full circle! 💫Does anyone else out there remember the funky alien & OB days
This is a collaboration with @sharifjewelers in Folsom, Ca. They saw one of my pieces up @kingdomcoffeeroasters and reached out. They are expanding their store and redesigning... I’m honored to install this piece in their bridal section. It’s about 8’ by 4’ and all steel with pine backing. Finished in wax. Working with Karim and Omar Sharif was a pleasure they gave me artistic freedom and trusted that I deliver something nice for them. I hope they like it😄🙏
"Standing Still, Mount Tamalpais", oil on canvas, 12" x 12". Silence except for the sounds of the tall, dry grasses hushing and crunching when I walk. I stop to watch the horizon. The fog just sits. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

• Justice Der: Don’t Kill My Vibe
This is a smooth, guitar cover by an artist named Justice Der. He covers Kendrick Lamar’s B**** Don’t Kill My Vibe. I came across Justice from a Youtube recommendation. I have been in love with his guitar covers ever since. He covers works from Frank Ocean, Daniel Ceasar, Kanye West and many more. This is definitely my go to study music.

NEW LAND #1
NEW LAND SERIES
Acrylic on panel 18.5 x 14.5" framed
"New Land" is a group of paintings that represent a concrete personal moment. The start of a different version, a new way of construction or a new point of view, either way, a New Land in my practice, another option.
These paintings are based on fake symmetries and stacking constructions. An exploration of the relationship between shapes and colors.
