.I can’t stress this enough: this journey is for YOU and you need to love yourself the whole way through it! Self-love is sadly something that hasn’t really be spoken about when it comes to losing weight. Sometimes I even get messages telling me I’m a hypocrite because if I loved myself I wouldn’t have felt the need to lose 200lbs. Well, I feel like that was the ultimate way to show myself how much I loved me. I loved me enough to say no to myself when I wanted something I knew wasn’t in alignment with my ultimate goals. You know those cravings that creep up on you that you give into for a few moments of happiness, I said no to those. Not because I was punishing myself or being mean to myself. But because I loved myself enough to honor my true desires! It takes a lot of strength and will power to make the kind of changes I have in my life this past year and a half but I did it out of pure love! Love for myself made it easier to say no. I knew a “cheat” could easily derail me so I would tell myself no and that was self love and self care. I didn’t change my lifestyle because I hated myself, I changed my lifestyle because I love and respected myself and wanted to give myself the life I deserved. No part of this journey was fueled by disdain for myself🤷🏻‍♀️ disdain isn’t a powerful enough emotion to fuel the kind of changes i made, but love IS! Start taking steps today and love yourself enough to keep going so you can finally answer that question of “what would happen if this time I didn’t quit” and I promise you this- you’ll love the answer🖤🖤

For a frozen meal, this was so good! I’m usually super skeptical about meat in frozen meals but this one had real chicken thighs that weren’t rubbery or processed. I did add a little bit of hatch valley salsa and Greek yogurt in place of sour cream for some zing, too!

Lovely 4-course meal tonight at my work's Christmas do (although we did have to wait ages between each course!!) We started our first course at quarter to 8 and only just finished dessert at 11!!. Anyways, I went for tomato soup for a pre-starter, crayfish and prawn cocktail for starter, twice cooked pork belly for main and toffee apple bakewell for dessert!😋 .

Lovely 4-course meal tonight at my work's Christmas do (although we did have to wait ages between each course!!) We started our first course at quarter to 8 and only just finished dessert at 11!!. I’m not sure if you noticed, but I changed my profile picture to this. But, my best friend says “it looks like I’m going to my own funeral.” 😂😂😂 She says it isn’t an accurate reflection of me bc I am a happy person. I say, it is a very accurate picture. I AM going to my own funeral everyday. The funeral of “fun guy” who lives inside of me and is slowly dying from this eternal diet. Fun guy has gotta quit busting out and eating piles of cookies and candy canes. Fun guy must die, and I must now eat healthy food slowly and sadly forever and ever. 🤣😂 I haven’t forgotten the Noom charts, all my time got sucked away this week working on the blog. You should check it out, getting spiffy. I plan to do at least 6 more charts. 2 days I’ll compare @Noom to @ww green plan, then 2 days comparing Noom to the blue plan, and 2 days comparing Noom to the purple plan...but I will TRY to stay within my daily ww points for all those days. I will need strength from above to stay strict on a diet plan for 6 days 🤣. Wish me luck, gonna try to start tomorrow (I always have such hope in tomorrow😂😂). And also, Do I look sad in this picture? While non-dietitians underreported by an average of 429 Calories, dietitians still underreported by 223 Calories. Notably, there were a couple of non-dietitian participants who underreported their intake by over 1,000 Calories! ⁣

This goes to show that breathing and living nutrition as your career may not alone be enough to ensure that you yourself are truly accurate with how much you’re eating (though it can certainly help). It’s very common for individuals to graze on bites, licks, and tastes of food throughout the day, underestimate portion sizes, and/or simply not remember what they’ve eaten. ⁣

These study findings are consistent with other research, and factors contributing to greater underreporting including being female, having greater dissatisfaction with body image, attempting to diet within the past year, higher body fat percentage, and greater dietary restraint. ⁣

This is a big part of why I harp on about the importance of ensuring your intake is truly accurate. If your goal is not fat loss, this may not be as big of a deal, but the extra calories can absolutely add up over time. ⁣

Mmmm a lovely surprise today, even though I had it at stupid o’clock - I wasn’t sure I’d like it but this was sooo good!! So I was in @marksandspencer the other day and grabbed some stir fry stuff - instead of prawns or chicken (my normal choice) I went for their no chic’n chunks to try tonight. Have to say I’m impressed! After my fail with some soya chunks a couple of months ago I’d been avoiding anything like that but this was really tasty and I quite like the texture. I also really liked the pea noodles too.. hadn’t seen them before and fancied something new. The veggies were great and the sauce was yuuuuumy! All of this certainly made up for the ham and egg salad I had earlier on

Today I had a @one2onediet chocolate velvet shake and a festive bar
