Not sure of the calories but I cooked it. The burgers are 227 calories so just had 1 a little rice salad and some onions cooked the onions with burgers so didn’t need any extra oil. Happy Sunday, ya'll. I know, I know. I said breakfast isn't my thing. And that is true during the week. But on Sundays, I love making some breakfast, having a cup of coffee, and watching CBS Sunday Morning with the hubby and baby.

This is one of my faves. Super simple and delicious. Just two pieces of light bread (90 cals), topped with a slice of laughing cow each (60 cals), plus 2 eggs (144 cals) and of course, a drizzle of sriracha. For less than 300 calories, this super easy breakfast is for sure one of my favorites! .

I drank for the first time since I got on tracking bandwagon (it’s been about two weeks) and I’m not going to lie, I was a bit terrified of getting the munchies and then ruining the progress I’ve made.

But the universe puts things in your life when you least expect it to. I stumbled upon @natacha.oceane ‘s video on eating as of on a holiday, all science-based on how little your body actually changed after a bit of a calorie surplus.

That’s when my mind set just changed. I haven’t gained 1 kJ of fat, it’s mostly water and everything will get back to normal when I get back to my routine tomorrow.

made a vegetable chow mein for tea and have found my new fave 😍think I went a bit extra on the soy sauce but it honestly tasted like a chow mein from a Chinese and with it being full of veggies not only was it low calorie (approx 300) but was also sooo filling 🥳

I didn’t track my calories too closely at lunch time because I picked at some party food with my salad (inc a small slice of cake oops) but I’m still finishing today in at least a 1500 calorie deficit

Then I added it to the slow cooker along with 2 beef stock pots and enough roughly chopped swede, potatoes, carrot and parsnips to almost fill the pot. Covered with water, 4/5 tablespoons of gravy granules and cooked on low all day. Then I added it to the slow cooker along with 2 beef stock pots and enough roughly chopped swede, potatoes, carrot and parsnips to almost fill the pot. If the additional food you eat is from calorie dense foods then the chances of your over consuming on calories is very real. It's these excess calories that cause weight gain, and being overweight or obese is a significant factor in the development of diabetes (type 2) regardless of sugar intake. ⠀⠀

So why compare the smoothie with the M&M's? Surely the smoothie is healthy and the M&M's are not? Well, the smoothie is "healthier" in that it contains some fibre and a raft of micro-nutrients. But micronutrients don't actually play a role in your body composition. A diet filled with whole foods and micronutrients does typically mean a person is more likely to have their hunger satisfied and stay within their calorie range - but the smoothie contains pretty much the same calories as the sweets, with more sugar.⠀⠀

The point is - you'll have people tell you the smoothie is healthy, the sweets are the devil because of obesity and diabetes. Yet the smoothie will elicit a higher insulin response than the M&Ms and pretty much the same calories 🤷🏼 ⠀

2. 🏋🏼Train. You were doing nothing before, so doing something is going to be an improvement. Fit it in where you can, as many times as you feel you can. Trial and error what’s best for you, and don’t push yourself too hard too soon.⠀
3. ğŸŽ“If all of this is making you anxious, seek the help of a professional. It’s in a personal trainers best interests to help you, regardless of if you’re paying or not. If you need help, ask.⠀

I didn’t take measurements or anything. The left pic was one month keto, I was down just over 20 lbs and was feeling so great about myself! No one else could really tell yet but I could and it felt so good. I decided to take measurements in April, I took them again over the summer(last) and then again a few months ago to compare. PLEASE take the pics, hide them away wherever but take them, take measurements. It will be so good to compare with one day, I love referring to this on days where I feel like I’ve been stuck too long to remind myself how far I’ve come. I didn’t measure myself when I started but my bra band was a 40 and my waist was over 40”. So I’ve lost over 20” just from those two measurements alone 😱😱😱it’s also crazy to me that in my left pic my bust and waist were the same and now my waist is smaller than it. Keto melts off all the right places😂.

High calorie consumption day today 😋 all very worth it, hit 14k today with all my steps around the zoo meeting a friend. Breakfast was a yoghurt (91), lunch was chicken and bacon tortellini (426), had half a small slush (60), 3.5 squares of fudge (210) & a pizza express pizza with McCain’s salt and pepper fries w sauce (1,027). I'm all for a quick and easy spag bol in the week, but I much prefer this when I have the time; drowned in red wine, simmering away for hours on the hob until it's reduced into this gorgeous meat sauce 🤤

I narrowly avoided making homemade cheesy garlic bread to go with this, and settled for a sprinkling of reduced fat cheddar.

Best Bolognese I've made in ages, and I know it was good because OH cleared his plate, including the tiny pieces of pepper (he's a nightmare for leaving them at the bottom of the bowl!)
