Deep inky-purple colored, this stylish and appealing #Cabernet shows blackberry, plum, cassis, violets and spice on a structured but round palate with dusty tannins and a long finish.
Pair with your best steak dinner (grass-fed filet or ribeye, sautéed mushrooms and a roasted green), anything braised and/or blue cheese or aged cheddar.
Four generations ago, there was the first Jane in our family: Our great, great grandmother. Jane was strong. She swore only when needed. She worked hard, she did things right and she always wore #lipstick. The unofficial #matriarch of our family. Jane was the #woman we all aspire to become. Ever since, we’ve given each girl in our family the same middle name: Her name. Jane. It’s a constant reminder to be brave. To do things right. To be more like Jane. Today, we craft delicious wine under a similar name: Middle Jane. We do this because everything our wine represents just so happens to be everything she represented: #Honesty. #Passion. And a commitment to doing things with #integrity. That’s how Jane would have done it. This #expressive Cabernet was hand-harvested, pressed and underwent primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 15 days and then malolactic fermentation in 60 gallon #french #oakbarrel for two months. Then, it aged for 18 months in neutral french oak barrels before bottling.
Did You Know This #singlevineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is from a CCOF-certified vineyard; #CCOF is a #nonprofit organization that envisions a world where #organic is the norm. $35.00. www.cleancraftedcuvee.com #TripleCWines
Bird pressure! We are using strategic netting on the edges of the vineyard (brighter green color) to keep the birds from eating the grapes as they sweeten! Birds feel too vulnerable to fly into the middle of the vineyard. Harvest must be getting closer...
Now that the entire city of Charlotte is sold out of water 💦 bottles the demand 📈for juice just went up. Make sure you grab the REAL stuff....Organic Cold-Pressed!🍊🍏🥒🥕🍋🍍

It’s beginning to feel a lot like autumn around here on the farm with the foggy mornings and some beautiful pumpkins coming in in our demo garden.
Pumpkins aren’t only a favorite for fall decor, they’re also a yummy ingredient in the kitchen, in both sweet & savory dishes.
What are your favorite ways to prepare pumpkin

Part 3 of beekeeping! We are returning the wax caps (that were sliced off the frames earlier) back to the hives where the bees will clean off all honey for food and we will end up with cleaned wax for use later for making bees wax lip balm, hand salve and other ‘farm to face’ products! These creatures are so efficient!
Cheers to @cadeestate and their commitment to go above and beyond the standard benchmark of environmental responsibility 💚 building the first CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers) organically farmed, LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certified Estate Winery in the Napa Valley.
They’ve painted recycled plastic to look like wood; they’ve used repurposed denim jeans in the walls for insulation; they’ve planted beans and seeds between the vines to infuse nitrogen into the soil naturally; everything used on their grounds is either repurposed, sold for reuse, or composted in their composting system. (Just a few of their forward-thinking ways.)💞
And on top of all that, the winery sits on a slice of heaven, Howell Mtn, producing some of THE most delicious wines around.
Stunning goodness truly worthy of a trip!!
It’s been a foggy week out here at ALBA! Seems that the June gloom came late this season.
Swipe to the next picture to see the beautiful Sphinx moth we found yesterday. Considered a pest, as caterpillar the “tobacco” moth likes to munch on our peppers and tomatoes, but as adults they prefer nectar from flowers. You can find them in Northern California, Colorado, and the Southern United States. This guy was quite the sight. A day on the farm is never boring!
Honey harvest 2018!! 🐝 Today’s part 2 post is our spinning day where we remove the honey from the frames. Brave assistant @karenalberstone is donning the gear along with our amazing culinary gardener and beekeeper @daniellelorusso. We harvested over two gallons and look forward to bottling tomorrow. Amazing process! Note the extremely dark frame of honey even with pollen deposits in the frames (light circles). We questioned whether it was due to smoke from the nectar during the fires with confused bees (any ideas) Last video shows how the bees take the leftover honey in the frames and reuse it for food for the next round. Amazing creatures 🐝🐝🐝
Honey harvest ‘18! 🐝Today we removed the full frames from our two hives of 10,000 bees. The bees were so calm and happy! Thank you @daniellelorusso for teaching me how to do this! Tomorrow we will spin the frames to extract the honey. So exciting! 🐝🐝🐝.
History in a bottle! Received an extraordinary first harvest season gift for our vineyard this weekend—six magnums of Joseph Phelps Pinot Noir from our exact vineyard in the 70’s. It was one of the first handful of vineyard-designated wines in Napa Valley in the 70’s. “Heinemann Mountain Vineyard” as noted on the top of the label was named after the Heinemann family who first planted and farmed our land. We are so fortunate to be stewards of this beautiful land and can not wait to taste the fruits of our first harvest soon! Incredible gratitude for @mattmorrisfilms in finding the ultimate gift!

A type of arthritis, gout occurs as a result of the accumulation of uric acid. Elevated levels of uric acid in the body can cause the formation of crystals in the joints which leads to inflammation and severe joint pain.
Typically, medications such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are used for treating this condition. However, they come with side-effects and can only worsen the condition.
