Wonderful tasting this morning at Domaine Huet in Vouvray. Tasted through Huet’s delicious chenin blanc portfolio: methode traditionale bone dry sparkler, dry, Demi-sec and sweeter wines. We concluded with these two balanced sweet gems from 2003 and 1989! Sweetness balanced with acid makes these beautiful wines soar!
Learned about three vineyards and their soil differences and then walked them, the vines gaining Fall color, their work for the year done, fermenting in the cellar (a cave dug in 1100!!!!) Thank you @johnlaloganes for introducing me to this great chenin blanc!

Swipe x2 ➡️ to see this amazing transformation of this wine cellar! With a trip to Home Depot, a few wood crates & this amazing wine rack, this wine cellar is sure to please! Organized by date and sorted by category, there won’t be a problem looking for wine in this space anymore. 🍷
Our second and final stop of the day in Elgin Wine Country is a ‘have-to-visit’ for lovers of bubbles, and in particular for folks who seek the romance of Methode Champenoise or otherwise known locally as Methode Cap Classique (MCC). At #charlesfoxcapclassique your senses will be taken on a most rewarding adventure. This Cap Classique Wine Estate focuses exclusively on bubbles. From the private balcony tasting hosted by Sonia, to her informative impromptu cellar tour, we got five star spoiled! Without a doubt the finest bubbles we have ever tasted, and that says a lot! Couldn’t get out of the tasting room without six bottles of their stellar 2013 vintage “Cipher”, their flagship MCC cuvée. Oh the joy of wine touring.

Tolomatic and Omron came by, thank you for visiting. These are the people behind the scenes that helped make this project possible. Executives from engineering, marketing and sales. Emails and phone calls back and forth for years, great to finally put faces to names.
