Crabs typically walk sideways (a behaviour which gives us the word crabwise), because of the articulation of the legs which makes a sidelong gait more efficient. However, some crabs walk forwards or backwards.
They can communicate by drumming or waving their pincers. Crabs tend to be aggressive towards one another, and males often fight to gain access to females.

WELLINGTON | Treated ourselves BIG time this V-Day with a four course set menu from the amazing @twogrey_ ❣️‼️ Starter: crayfish fritters & baker break w/ dukkah 🦞🥖 Entreé: cures kingfish w/ burnt citrus & a whitebait fitter 🐟👅 Main: eye fillet w/ mushroom gratin & paua and squid ink fettuccine 🥩🍝 Dessert: choccy mousse w/ strawbs & bombe Alaska 🍮🍫🍓Everything was BEAUT (aside from the paua which was v v fishy). Also got a glass of @ghmummnz and @sapporobeerusa 🤪 It was $75 for the set menu including the champagne! 🥂Unreal value in my books! I don’t usually do things like this (povo student) but I’m so so glad to have splurged on this epic experience 💫🙌🏼
Sunday afternoon treat, a juicy veal cutlet. Perfectly cooked with French charm by @njohnson73 at @merivale favourite, Felix. Sourced from selected Victorian producers, the veal is pale in colour and perfect for complementing rich French flavours.

Sometimes, attending a Garden Party is a great way to nudge Old Man Winter.
. 🍃This one was plant pure, and featured: tea sandwiches, finger foods and plenty of tea! (Swipe to see the menu described below!)
. 🍃The menu was entirely plant-inspired. .
🍃We started with an Apple cider wine in her plant-powered kitchen, as tea sandwiches were being crafted, many few in real time.
🍃There was an open-faced cucumber🥒 sandwich made with @kitehill almond cream cheese, chives and dill. .
🍃The Avocado Reuben-on-rye was a killer combo of Jewish Rye bread, a made-from-scratch 1000 Island Dressing, saukraut, 🥑, Kumatos🍅 and thinly sliced tofu. .
🍃Stuffed mushrooms🍄 were loaded with @beyondsausage brats. 🍃The ‘Not Tuna’ Salad-brought together raw almonds, red onion, sunflower seeds, garbanzo beans, celery and 🍋 juice. .
🍃The egg salad pockets tasted just like 🥚’s, but instead were crafted with tofu, turmeric (for the authentic color), celery, vegenaise and salt. Black salt sulfur salt is used now to recreate the scent of an egg in vegan cuisine. .
🍃The Cranberry Orange🍊scones with a citrus glaze were among the best I’ve ever eaten - perfectly chewy with just enough crumble. Chef Irene suggested that in a pinch you can sub ‘frozen’ cranberries.
Paired the scone with @rishi Organic Blueberry Hibiscus Tea - tart yet sweet. It was either that, or Better Than Sex Tea -a rooibos blend with bits of Belgian Dark Chocolate and Peppermint. 🙊 #Yowza
