YOU ARE ENOUGH ✨
A portion of breathing space on my workspace.
I am grateful for all the work I’m getting to do in this current season, but sometimes even in good work it’s easy to become performance based and project based and miss out on His goodness. (Perhaps that’s my 4w3, if you know the enneagram).
Today as I worked in the quiet of my kitchen, for hours, I made great progress on a project, and yet as I went over the list of all my projects over the next two months I found myself quickly sliding into overwhelm. How am I going to do each of these rather large things well when they’re all happening at the same time.
And He whispered, “You’re not. I am”.
Phew that will silence the chatter in my head.
Yes Lord, not by me, but by You. You have asked me to each of these things and You will have Your way through each. I am your humble servant. Please help keep me from trying to be my own king here. .
Time to re-center. I find myself continually re-centering throughout my days. I’m so thankful He’s an anchor that keeps me tethered. He is the Hope I hold onto.
Do you feel any sense of overwhelm with something you’re confident He’s called you to Good. You’re on the right path to depend on Him. How can you re-center yourself on Him.
Here are 3 things I’m doing:
1. Legs up the wall yoga position, eyes closed, for a few short minutes.
2. Read a Psalm.
3. Write out a prayer and record the revelation He gave me today in my #lifeworthlivingjournal.
What’s your next step

NEW!! The Olivia Coffee Poncho Top is the perfect fall staple you need in your closet! Swipe to see styled tucked and untucked. Features an asymmetrical and unfinished hem and made locally in Georgia! Super soft and comfy!
I married a man I had only known for 6 months🤯🤯🤯
Have you ever rolled your eyes or thrown up in your mouth a little when someone spoke the cliche, "Well, when you KNOW you just KNOW"🤮🤮🤮
Have you ever believed (or currently believe) that falling "IN LOVE" takes time
Have you ever judged someone that YOU felt "jumped into" a committed relationship or marital partnership WAY TOO STINKIN FAST!🌀👰🤵🌪️
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then guess what I GET IT. I HAVE TOO!
Before I met my husband, I probably would have been one of the first to say, "Pump the friggin breaks," or "Slow your roll," especially after being in several abusive relationships myself.
But now that I've been married to my husband for over 7 years, I would say this (or challenge you to consider this): Everyone's love story looks different...AND THAT'S OKAY. Yup, I said it.🙊🙊🙊
Would I normally, as a counselor/coach recommend people take their time Of course I would. But there are ALWAYS exceptions to the rules.
And the truth is, sometimes the rules are dumb or made up or may not even apply (rebel status over here).😱😱😱
So, if you're looking for the right love/partner, I'd say this:
1)Take your time and really get to know someone
2)If you know they're the right one quickly, seek good counsel (I had friends that knew my husband's character for decades before I ever even met the guy)
3)Weigh the pros and cons of jumping in quickly
4) Don't be an idiot 😂😘😜
5) Ultimately, do what you feel is right and know that YOU are the one that has to live with any consequences that may arise (if you need help with this talk to me).
6) Talk to someone (like me) that's been through it and can give you good, loving, honest, neutral feedback.
Now, come on, let me know---how many of you think I'm crazy and are you shocked by my story Have you ever believed one of the things above Did you find love quickly I wanna know all the things!
So much stinking love for you guys.
We can only attain salvation through Jesus Christ and through nothing or no one else. No one else can save us because it is only Jesus Christ who paid the price for the salvation of our souls. We cannot find salvation in any earthly thing or person and we would be fools to try it. Only the name of Jesus, can bring us the freedom from captivity that we need. <Holy Bible King James Version
I PROMISE you that it will be much easier when we invite GOD in our mess! Especially when it’s mess that’s we’ve caused. 🖤 | www.prettyandprayedup.com

G U E S T P O S T// part 2:
"Needless to say, we’re getting a fresh, crash course in patience. Maybe you are too right now.
I’d like to share a few thoughts that have been encouraging me, and I pray they might do the same for you.
1. God is far more interested in our character than our comfort and convenience.
Now, I want to be careful as I say this, because maybe, like me, you struggle with the faulty-yet-persistent belief that says, “If I want something really badly, it must not be God’s will for my life.” I don’t mean God’s goal is for us to be miserable.
Scripture tells us that he is a loving Father who delights in us, and part of the way he demonstrates that delight is by giving good gifts.
Sometimes those are big, life-altering things; sometimes they’re tiny, “just because I love you” gifts that he simply wants us to enjoy.
However, like any good parent, he knows there are plenty of times when no or not yet are the best answers. Sometimes we may feel desperate for a particular gift at a particular time, but he knows there’s something far more valuable to be gained.
James tells us we can actually consider it joy when we face different kinds of trials, “for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing” (James 1:2-4).
In Romans, Paul says it like this, “. . . we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us” (Romans 5:3-5).
When God says no or not yet, it can be helpful for us to remember that he’s asking us to be patient for a good reason. He’s not toying with us or stringing us along; he’s growing us and deepening our character.”

Glitter is my favorite color. 🎀♥️. This weekend we sat with my dad and friends and talked about his dad. Man he had style and class. He knew how to throw a party, shutting down places like Brenner's to do so and always having the best of entertainers. Most importantly what I remember about him was how he loved others so well. He picked up total strangers, fed the hungry and saw the good in the lost. He gave to those in need with no question. Sometimes my grandmother still reminds me of how he always saw past the sin or brokenness to the heart of people. She reminds me for a reason. :) I want to be this woman as I remember him. Not remembered by style or how I decorated a space, but rather one who loved, served, and was the hands and feet of Jesus. One who's door was always open and one who would lay down my life for Jesus. The money in life isn't legacy friends, Jesus is.
@jenessawait speaks to my heart in this small list. 💗 Although we might get overwhelmed with all the things, it actually is so simple. Which item speaks most you today
Profound word... so true. I pray that I truly trust the word God has said about Himself and us. Working on being proactive on acting on His Word and not let fear deter me from His purposes and truths!

Where is God guiding you Better yet, do you trust Him to provide .
Full disclosure: I have an anxiety disorder. What some would not think twice about makes me anxious. Many times when my head hits the pillow I think about everything I haven’t done or how I failed and wake up multiple times in the night full with anxiety. Anxiety isn’t fun and I like to avoid change since I know big changes are pure fuel for my anxiety. .
So when I felt God was calling me to start this business, I was uneasy and I was anxious. “God I don’t know how to do this.” “God, I don’t have a degree in this.” “How will I pay bills with starting a new business” All these doubts crowded my mind. I felt... well plain inadequate. I knew God was guiding me to what He wanted me to do but I was worried and scared. Taking that leap of faith was hard and yes it was scary! God has provided in every step of this journey (doesn’t mean there hasn’t been difficult times) and I have grown so much so in my faith that without going through this journey, I don’t think I would have! .
I look at stories like Esther, Moses and David in the Bible and God called each of these “ordinary” people for a specific purpose of His will. None of them had a totally easy journey by saying “yes” to God’s call but each of them had God with them. When we follow God’s purpose for our lives, we grow spiritually and can be a light and a greater encouragement for others. .
Do you feel God calling you somewhere Do you trust Him enough to provide
What a true blessing to be created by a loving and passionate God who surrounds me with people who GET ME!
I have posted my #reallife on social media for many years now and yet posting about my struggles with my depression was so hard to talk about.
And yet, as soon as I released my fears of my past and my current life challenges, I was not only relieved but I was messaged and commented on by YOU!
Message after message I have received by so many of you in the last 24 hours that have filled my heart up tremendously!
You've checked in, you've made me feel welcome, you've shared your own personal struggle, you've wrapped me up in love and prayer. I feel so incredibly blessed!
Thank you so much for journeying with me here. We are not alone in this fight and if you are still in need of a listening ear or a form of help, please reach out.
With so much gratitude,
You ever have those days when you look back on all the things you prayed about a year ago and am reminded of how many times God has came through in every prayer you’ve prayed for Don’t get me wrong, some prayers take longer than a year and some answers to prayers are no or wait but I think it’s important to acknowledge and be encouraged by the prayers that have been answered.
Here are three prayers of mine that have been answered specifically in the past five years:
1. To find a Christian man that loved the Lord and respected and cared for me and who wasn’t ashamed of me being his one and only.
2. To find and agree upon a church that was all about community and relationships (me and Josh fought about this during our whole engagement period because we were so against each other on this topic)
3. To find Christian women to encourage and keep me accountable to staying on track with my relationship with God.
God has come through EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Even on the nights where I was crying on my bedroom floor heart broken over the hundredth time I had my heart broken by a guy, God was there. When I contemplated suicide because I thought there would never be hope for love again, God was there. When I tried to understand why my biological father had not shown his love for me or made me feel like I was beautiful or worthy of love, God was there. And God still continues to be there for me, every season that I am placed in. This morning in my devotional time I was reading through Genesis 35 and something that Jacob said really tied into this message so I will end with this verse. Genesis 35:3 says “We are now going to Bethel, where I will build an altar to the God who answered my prayers when I was in distress He has been with me wherever I have gone.”
Comment below a prayer of yours that has been answered by God ✨
🔉There’s an attitude that is often adopted by us that is NOT Biblical! It may sound like trust, but this is where trust slips into abdicating our God-given authority!

As Robbin Bell spoke about at our last gathering, a grateful heart is a key to leaving a Godly legacy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We are called to give thanks in ALL things. Surely there is a time where you really did not feel like being thankful for the circumstance- we have all been there, however, by cultivating a grateful spirit, we can see how God works all things out for those who believe! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What are you thankful for today Please drop a comment below 👇👇

O Lady Blest of La Salette
O Lady blest of La Salette--
Take pity on our hapless state,
And hearken to our cry!
Thine own sweet voice in plaintive wail,
As we walk through this tearful vale,
Is heard reproachfully.
In France, we're taught, thou didst appear,
And through two children biding near,
A warning didst convey--
The arm of thine offended Son
Thou couldst not hold, and heaven's frown
Thou couldst no longer stay.
The wrath of Jesus Christ would fall,
So didst thou say, on us and all,
For our iniquity:
Thy warning is, that we repent,
Or else a fatal punishment
Will scourge us heavily.
Then stay, O Virgin Mother, stay
The doom impending, whilst we pray
To thy most clement Son:
And as on earth our vows we make,
Present them thou, for Jesus' sake,
To God's eternal throne.
One only God we'll ever serve,
And from His truth we ne'er will swerve,
The one unchanging faith:
Our holy Church we know to be
The sole and only Church, where we
Can rest in life and death.
Oh, may we never take again
The holy Name of God in vain,
Or His good Spirit grieve!
All cursing, swearing, blasphemy
Be far from us: and holily
May we forever live!
The Sunday and all holidays,
We promise we will spend in praise
Of our much injured God.
Our joy shall be our Mass to hear,
And to the Sacraments draw near,
Those wells of Christ's own blood.
And when our priests the doctrines preach,
Which God hath given them power to teach,
We ne'er will absent be:
The days of abstinence and fast,
We'll strive to keep from first to last,
And Holy Church obey.
O Virgin Queen, in pity hear
Thy children whilst we humbly dare
These pious vows to make-- What God and Holy Church command,
On bended knee, with outstretched hand,
We promise ne'er to break.
O Lady blest of La Salette,
Thy strength can hardly bear the weight
Of Christ's uplifted arm:
Still tarry, Mother, yet awhile--
Our hearts to Jesus reconcile,
And shield us from the storm.

I don't understand God.
And I don't have the capability of understanding Him because His ways are higher and His thoughts are higher. .
I have to surrender to Him even when I dont understand. When I know that I can't understanding Him and believe that His ways are better life is so much better.
It's not always easy, and I learn this lesson over and over. I mess up. I'm human. Then I surrender again.
Trust God. His ways are higher.

Prayer to Saint Januarius
Oh Januarius, brave of faith in Jesus Christ, glorious patron of Catholic Naples, looks upon us benignly and accepts our vows, that today we lie at thy feet with total confidence in thy powerful patronage.
How many times have thou run to help thy fellow citizens, now stopping in the path of the destructive lava of Vesuvius, and now saving us from plague, earthquakes, famine and many other divine punishments that terrify us.
The perpetual miracle of the liquefaction of thy blood is a sure and extremely eloquent sign that thou live among us, that thou know our needs and that thou protect us in a singular way.
Oh, we pray to thee to pray for us, sure that we will be answered; and saved from all the evils that oppress us from all directions.
Save us from unbelief, and thou will see that the faith, by which thou have generously sacrificed thy life, always, always produces fertile fruits of saints made amongst us. Amen.

“Make me Your vessel
Make me an offering
Make me whatever You want me to be
I came here with nothing
But all You have given me
Jesus, bring new wine out of me”
- I’ve had this song (“New Wine” by @hillsongunited ) on repeat all week. ♥️
To all my younger sisters hoping to marry, listen up. Look for a man who drops everything to look for a lost dog, especially when it’s not his own dog. A man of character has a powerful drive in him to find what is lost. It’s selfless which is rare. It’s birthed in the heart of God and when God’s Spirit is in a man, it’ll leak out in tangible ways...like looking for a neighbor’s dog who gets spooked by storms and scales fences and takes off running. You’ll hear this kind of man grab his keys and run out the front door saying, “I’ve got a hunch where she is.” He’ll look till he finds her. And when he does, he’ll rub her back and talk kindly to her and let her know how glad he is that she’s been found and that she’s home. That kind of man is worth the wait.

This spiritually darkening world is full of nonstop chaos and destruction and it feels like there’s no way for you to escape it. You are consumed with terrifying thoughts about what is in store for you in regards to your near future. Nothing seems to be working according to your plan. Stress and emotional exhaustion has been heavily weighing on your weary shoulders until you cry out to God. His timeless peace break through through the darkness surrounding your heart. He always has a wonderful plan for you and your family and everyone else. You should instead tightly cling onto this truth: “We know that all things work together for good to those who love God.” - Romans 8:28. Do what you need to do to write that on your heart where you can be comforted with this simple but powerful message of God’s tender mercies and timeless peace. #christianwomen #christianwoman #christiansingles #christianinspiration #christianwife #christiansingles
How many times a day do you think about your body And how many of those times are positive⠀
Even when we spend regular time in our Bible (and most of us don't manage that), we don't apply Biblical truth to our view of our bodies. Yet God gave us bodies for a purpose. So this week we've shared a post on six Bible passages that talks about bodies. Hopefully they will help us to change the conversation around the amazing gift God has given each of us. The link is in the bio.⠀

Being a Christian woman doesn’t mean you are entitled to be able to judge other women and their own walks. You are only accountable for your own relationship with God but it doesn’t exclude you from helping others along their separate daily walks. It should concern you when you see fellow Christian women struggle with doubts and anxieties about their beliefs. You should definitely take the time and effort to extend a virtual hand to begin a difficult but necessary conversation if they’re interested in that kind of encouragement. There’s no need for you to be a perfect Christian woman to be able to do this. Being able to share what you’ve learned with others with a lovely blend of kindness and maturity should be at the top of your list. It’s definitely needed and necessary to join in a small but spiritually mighty group where you can continue to get to know other Christian women while glorifying God every step of the way. Lastly, you should continue to be the spiritually strong Christian woman who is there to encourage and empower others. #christianwomen #christianwoman #christianrelationships #christianwife #christiangirls #christianwifelife #christianencouragement

Jessie lead a powerful message on : A faithful God
Matthew 9:20-22 NIV
20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak.
21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.” 22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.
Just finished watching Kathy Burke's All Women and wowee do we now have a lot to process!!! 👏👏 Social media has its fantastic perks yet also tragic cons that, until watching the documentary, I hadn't realised how it affects the way I think so dramatically and how those thoughts were so second nature! Consider it a slap round the face of a wake up call. Everything in moderation! New words to live by for me, me thinks 😝 give it a watch if you are interested 💕 hope you're well!! - E x
