People place importance of having rituals and routines in your life. The body loves rhythm. Take professional athletes for example, Sidney Crosby has a peanut butter and jelly sandwich before every game. It helps him minimize decisions (what do I eat before the game today), and focus on the bigger task at hand (the game tonight). Develop consistent actions you take daily that work like clockwork, so you can focus on bigger tasks at hand.

It’s in work in progress.
I didn’t go to art class today because my heart just needed to stay close to home. The people who fill my home ground me. I’m thankful for them. After they were all in bed, I painted. Oils are a tricky thing for someone who likes things done efficiently and quickly. Oils force to me slow down. Heck, painting forces me to slow down. Oils take it another level.
To me, the pieces as it is right now, looks like a storm is brewing. I feel like that on the inside. Like a storm is brewing. It doesn’t surprise me then that my canvas mirrors me. I’m thankful for the feedback. It helps me see myself with more clarity.

HOW CAN WHAT’S WOUNDED BECOME WHOLE
One of the most important traits we can develop as adults, is the capacity to commit to a process and see it through to a result.
We live in a society where immediate gratification has become the norm and we have no patience to wait, let alone work for anything.
I’m exaggerating but, you know 😏
When we follow our gut feeling to book in with a complimentary therapist or counsellor, we can’t honestly expect to have everything taken care of in one session. Am I right
The first session is ideally, just the beginning and I want to tell you why.
😌
Your therapist is not likely to limit her exploration of your wellbeing to simply what you present. Her (or his) job is to delve, uncover, expose and reveal the parts of you that may not want to be found, but must be looked at, in order for you to become whole.
Great courage is required to take this therapeutic journey because it will definitely have its uncomfortable passages. But the rewards if you do Well they’re pretty awesome 🥰
Recovery from depression, anxiety, self-doubt, low self esteem, long term grief, suppressed creativity, fear of failure and/or success, the list goes on. But this is big stuff and not easy to resolve.
Many of the people I’ve seen have reported feeling much better after one session and that’s fantastic.
However, it’s common for this initial buzz and feeling of release to wear off. And then what
They have two choices:
1. Come back and enter the therapeutic process more thoroughly with a commitment to at least three sessions.
2. Struggle on thinking our work together was useful but not lasting.
We’ve been taught by modern medicine that we see a doctor, they give us a prescription, end of health problem. Fingers crossed anyway. Issues of the emotions and the spirit are not like this. Neither are many physical problems but there you go.
When we take the time and have the courage to unravel what’s within us, we give ourselves a wonderful gift. The gift is peace and it creates an opening into who we really are. 😊
I have session times available next week on Monday and Tuesday.
Message me here or phone 0418 698 305 and we can chat first. 🌸
