Working nights shifts every now and then people often ask me what I eat and how I set my eating rhythm. Here’s a peak to what I’m having tonight.

Usually I slide dinner time to about 10-11 pm. I take a nap late in the afternoon and have a breakfast-like snack before leaving for work. This way dinner becomes lunch. Today I’m having leftover Thai style curry with mango flavoured coconut water.

After midnight the first signs of fatigue kick in so I give myself a treat. My bad habit has been heavy loads of chocolate and an energy drink which I know makes the fatigue kick in much worse when the sugar high fades as well as messes with one’s metabolism so I’m giving healthier options a go.

How I eat towards the end of the shift very much depends on how my body feels. If my metabolism is on low gear, I’m not really hungry. Still I make sure to eat “breakfast“ before going home. This way I can hit the bunk straight after coming home and continue with lunch if I’ve done just the one night shift. In the coming morning my options will be homemade banana bread, oat based yogurt with millet puffs and mixed nuts and/or fruit.

Today I made some sort of Bolognese on ground lean beef and added some extra carrots and mushrooms. I'll add fresh greens and avocado each day. .
While in the kitchen I also made a delicious apple pie with apples from my dads garden. 😍 That one ended up in the freezer since we all got our fair share of sugar this weekend. 😂 
Everything cooked and baked is #glutenfree of course!

Jeg er en av dem som blir oppblåst og bloater bare jeg lukter for hardt på junkfood.. I følge @proteinspesialisten skal cheatday hjelpe på dette problemet, og selv så skeptisk som jeg er så må jeg bare tygge i meg ordene mine (og enda flere cheatdays) for dette funker!! 1. Do compound lifts at the beginning. Dips, Pullups, Benchpress, Military Press
They let the main muscles grow but also your arms.

2. Burn it out. 
Use dropsets or supersets for extra burn in your arms.

3. Dont forget the tricep. 
Many guys are curling all day but they forget the importance of the tricep that is two parts of your arm. Your bicep is only one.
.
4. Try something new 
Dont use every workout the same weights and excercises. With new excercises and variations you get the perfect charming for growth.
