Tonight I killed it in the gym! I broke records tonight with the squats. I squatted 135lbs for 8 reps with 3 sets. Then I cranked that beast up to 20lbs more and was able to 8 reps in. I'm wearing my Avengers sleeveless hoodie tonight at the gym. Now that I can wear it again since I've lost body fat. It looks metal as fuck I must say. I could cosplay as Arrow from DC or Robin Hood. Oh that be a good cosplay. Anyway I gotta get home, but I thought I'd blog about tonight sheesh. Have a wonderful Weekend!

Não esperei tempo suficiente e a lesão ainda estava lá... Esta reflexão sobre o filme full out que o @atleta_e_acao fez vale muito a pena ser lida por todos os atletas. É uma inspiração pra quem esta passando pelo mesmo problema.

Ela era uma das grandes promessas da ginástica artística e aos 14 anos de idade se preparava para participar dos Jogos Olímpicos, o que era uma das únicas formas de entrar para o grupo de ginástica da faculdade de seus sonhos, a UCLA. 
Ariana Berlin era uma excelente ginasta,, porém em 2001 após um grave acidente teve uma haste colocada em sua perna e recebeu a notícia de que não poderia mais competir. 
Após muita fisioterapia e fortalecimento, não se sentia confiante e preparada para voltar ao treinamento. 
Por causa de seu conhecimento de ginasta foi convidada para ajudar uma equipe de dança e acabou integrando a equipe, se apresentando no SeaWorld San Diego, onde conheceu a treinadora de ginástica da UCLA.

Depois desse novo contato com a ginástica artística ela percebeu que seu AMOR PELO ESPORTE ainda estava lá, se reuniu com a treinadora e contou sobre seu SONHO de competir pela UCLA e o quanto queria voltar ao esporte. 
Ela voltou a treinar e mesmo com fortes dores na perna, por causa da haste, Ariana Berlin Rotstein COMPETIU em ALTO NÍVEL pela equipe de ginástica da UCLA Bruins de 2006 a 2009.

Não é fácil voltar a treinar e competir após uma lesão, a insegurança, o medo, as limitações físicas e mentais são grandes, mas é POSSíVEL

1 - Procure ajuda de um fisioterapeuta esportivo

2 - Procure um treinamento mental para fortalecer sua mente e aprender a lhe dar com os pensamentos, sentimento e emoções

What are your goals? I mean, clearly the ultimate goal is to get healthy. I'm far less concerned with my weight than I am my overall health, but weight does still matter to me.

What I mean is, what are the little things you want to do that you couldn't do before? 
Have you ever been driving or sitting somewhere and used your gut to hold something in place, only to forget that you've place something there until you stand up and it falls to the floor (or even worse, it DOESN'T fall)? That's where I'm at. As handy as I claim this has been in scenarios in the past, I do not wish to be able to do that anymore. It's embarrassing that I've brought it up, but I feel like holding anything back would be unfair; if I want to show what a struggle my weight and food addiction is for me, then it's all of these little moments that need to be brought out. This way I can truly appreciate it when I'm past those.

Typing this all out is sort of my therapy. I've looked for reputable therapists in this area that specialize in eating disorders, but there aren't any that I'm willing to go to. For me, Facebook and Instagram are my therapy.

I'm setting myself a mini-goal. When I officially lose 100lbs (which will put me under 300 for the first time since high school) I am going to sign up for an open mic night at a comedy club. I've always wanted to do it, but never had the courage to. That changes. When I hit my goal weight I am going skydiving with my uncle. I'm terrified of heights. That, too, will change.

I'm poorly paraphrasing a comedian (Randy Feltface) when I say this, but we're walking an infinitesimally small hyphen between the words "birth" and "death," and when reduced to that level of crisp simplicity "fear" cannot exist.

Erik is one of those guys that instantly makes people laugh. Training with him has been a ton of fun each and every day. I’ve had the privilege of coaching him and also being one of his training partners. He just graduated chiropractic school and is moving to Montana. Today was his last day in the gym. He will be missed by all of us here at the gym, especially me.
But great things lie ahead for this handsome son of a bitch!! Much love brother! I’ll see you at some national meets soon!

Used the leftover bison taco filling for an egg white scramble this morning, and topped it with 1/2 an avocado. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This was my last day off before trainings start back up for the new school year next week. Rem and I were lazy until about 1 pm. I knew I needed to get my butt moving, so 4 mile walk it was, followed by #nakedtrainingprogram from @brookeence. This was workout #2 so far from that, and it was nice to work on my #snatch and #pushpress again. I can’t do ring dips, but was able to do modified dips and push presses for the metcon portion. I was going to do the deltoid workout from the DLB Daily, but I’m going to focus on cleaning my house tonight and get up at 4:30 AM tomorrow morning to do that before our day starts. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My plan is to keep working out as much as I have these past 2 weeks during the school year. So DLB Daily in the AM before the baby wakes up, work, come home and take the baby for a walk, put her to bed, and then do the WOD before bed. We’ll see how it goes 🤷🏻‍♀️
