How did I get my name, Enzo 🐶
No, it’s not because she has a thing for Ferraris 🏎
And not because she has a thing for Italy or Italian men either 🇮🇹 😆
But it was because of this book, “The Art of Racing in the Rain” by Garth Stein, coming to movie theaters this August 🎥 Read it. Watch it. It will make you laugh, cry, and, above all, love 💝

Thank you @dkandaswamy for the link!
I booked a last minute bus trip to the Trossachs National Park last night and it was an excellent decision. Not only did we see spectacular waterfalls, lochs, red squirrels (the now sadly fairly rare kind), tons of beautiful birds, Highland coos (cows), lambs and horses along the way, we also met this cutie, seven year-old boxer Jess and her dad Billy. He was having a cuppa in a car park and three of us (met two other dog lovers from China (second pic) and India on the tour) said hello. Have you ever met a not friendly boxer I certainly haven't and Jess totally made our day. We also ended up petting a couple of shitzus (seem popular in the countryside), two adorable terriers and a yellow lab who nearly led us down the wrong path, lol. Fantastic day and I'm now completely knackered!! It's been a busy few weeks since Christmas. I've been adapting to my new job, flat hunting (big fat tick, moving in just a few weeks, I'm so excited!) and volunteering with Celtic Connections (18 days of amazing live music and partly the reason why I moved here). Have petted quite a few pooches along the way, but it was always too dark or they didn't have much time to chat and take pictures.
This sign on Bath Street made me smile and, while it's nothing that special, also a bit emotional. It's nice to be welcome, it means being accepted for who you are and this sort of openness is still what I love most about this city. We're still not sure where the future will take us in this country, especially those of us with EU passports, but it's important to keep being pawsitive and live in the present, like all the fabulous doggies out there!

I can't believe it's already December! Opened the first door of my two advent calendars today, mulled wine scented candles are out and got a mini Christmas tree to decorate later. In Germany we never do this until just before Christmas but I won't be in Glasgow for the holidays, so am making the best of the next three weeks here.
I met adorable Rufus on Buchanan Street today, he's a rescue from the Dogs & Cats Home in Cardonald and was ready to head home to his cosy blanket. So was I, have a bit of a cold at the moment. Rufus' mum was waiting for the group in the video to finish their busking for Palestine. Have just been to some films by Palestinian filmmmakers part of @documentfilmfestival last night, fascinating, check it out if you're in Glasgow or online for anyone else.
Have a lovely first Advent 🕯️wishing you all a peaceful weekend with many cuddles!
