Some leg day fun with actual true to form stiff legged deadlifts after squats. These are not to be confused with Romanian deadlifts, a mistake i made for a while. Start with the bar on the ground like regular deadlifts but straighten your legs until your torso is almost horizontal. Then keep your legs fixed in that position and hinge at your hips... and keep your back straight. 😁
I didn’t even need cardio to be dripping with sweat by the time I finished, now if i can just make sure I eat enough 🤔🤔

Who needs a gym when you can workout in a place like this! So lucky to have this on my doorstep.
With summer edging closer by the day, hopefully I’ll have more opportunities to workout outside and today was perfect for a tabata session by the beach for my wife and I 🏋🏻♂️🏋🏼♀️🏖
A tabata session ordinarily lasts 20 minutes but you can change it up to suit your fitness level. 20 seconds work / 10 seconds rest. 8 sets on each exercise before moving onto the next one. So you basically spend 4 minutes on each movement.
Personally, I think it’s an underrated workout format. Whenever I do a tabata workout, I am totally wrecked. Knowing that I have a regular, guaranteed rest built into the workout is motivation for me to blitz the work part. You can do anything for 20 seconds!!
You choose the movements and if they’re body weight it means you can do it practically anywhere...living room, hotel, the beach 😉. Add weights if you want to but go light! I’ll post a barbell tabata that I’ve done in the past soon.
Today’s tabata was:
• high knees
• flutter kicks
• squat jumps 🔥🔥🔥

Big milestone birthday and feeling great. As everyone knows health, fitness and looking after myself are extremely important and I am pleased with what I still manage to achieve everyday.
More importantly than that though are my amazing wife, 2 great kids and what we have achieved together as I reach this number. Here’s to the next 10 years, bring on the big 50 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
