Busting out Friday's behind the scenes production post for all to enjoy. The first is the work in progress for what will be the main 2018 Christmas illustration. The piece takes place in the beastly world of Enter the Manifeco where the holiday season is in the air prompting Nigel and some beastly civilians to bust out the old mistletoe in order to have a big kiss scene for Saria and Swordsman Johnathan (of which is a little too much for the thieving maiden). I shall go more into this piece with the fully inked version in tomorrows post. The next two and final for today are updates on the latest cartoon pieces which have just started the visual/texturing stage of production. If you enjoyed today's content don't forget to leave a like or a comment and tune in for more animated goodness.
Part two of Connor's tattoo design.
I've been a little backed up with other commissions, so there should plenty of content in the upcoming weeks!
If you've got an idea you would like to see realised as a tattoo design then feel free to drop me a DM.
Absolutely love rust and the rainbow of colours that occur from oxidized metal.
Do you see the colours I see
Blues, purples, reds, green, browns, gold, and white. Rust is such a gorgeous material.
This lightswitch cover was picked up at Tommy Thompson park which is a man-made island spit that narrowly stretches out into the lake on Toronto's East end. Great place to hike because it's a gorgeous home to a variety of birds that are never seen in the city due to it's seclusion. A really remarkable place and my favorite park here because of it's unique landscape. The beaches are full of eroded bricks, rubble, and decades old metal scrap that protrudes from the ground at random places. If you have read some of my other posts you would understand why I enjoy such a place...nature eroding built materials...my thing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In this drawing I used white acrylic paint coupled with a white charcoal pencil to create the highlights.
I'm improving with each practice, learning, and through learning I'll teach those that follow my practicing.
That's important to me.
