I finally watched @truecostmovie on Netflix and I highly recommend it for everyone. The film talks about the fast fashion industry and it’s impact on humans and our planet. It’s really eye opening and helps you see the full picture behind where these items come from and their impact. .
After watching this, it really helped me see the connection between the fashion industry and the animal agriculture industry. I knew there were some overlapping issues, but I didn’t realize the extent of it. They’re so similar in so many ways. .
The few at the very top profit off exploiting humans and animals no matter what the cost to their lives and health. Both industries pollute our soil, water, air, and contribute to so many diseases and death that all of us are faced with. At the end of the day it’s all about $. .
I like to be an informed consumer as much as possible, so I’m always trying to learn about different things. I love being presented with new information that challenges me to be more aware and conscious of my choices and how they impact others. Feel free to share your favorite documentaries with me 😃 Also, what are some of your favorite ethical and sustainable clothing companies for kids and adults .
