“They came because they heard about a black preacher who was changing things in the south. That he had a dream.” This documentary about Martin Luther King’s Legacy on SBS is ah-mazing! #martinlutherking #documentary #legacy #civilrights

I painted this artwork exclusively for the documentary #Taipeilove - an intimitate portrayal of Taiwan's unique journey towards same-sex marriage and equality.
Taiwan will be the first in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage and implement equal rights for same-sex couples into it's civil code. This documentary is a testimony that shows how history is currently being written in Taiwanese society and Lucie Liu is the first European filmmaker to be tackling that topic.

“The Ghan” is a TV show named after Australia’s iconic passenger train, which runs down the middle of the country. Its premise is simple: viewers spend three hours in the driver’s seat watching the outback pass by, with no ad breaks. The experimental documentary is an example of “slow TV” which follows ordinary people going about their business in real time. It has proved surprisingly popular: “The Ghan” is the highest rated show on the SBS network and the train’s ticketing website crashed shortly after it aired, due to unexpected demand. At a time of slow wage growth and rising living costs, the calming quality of “The Ghan” is much in demand. To discover more about the world's most popular TV shows and films. Join me as I lead a screening and discussion @mondo_summit Friday, April 27th at 7:30pm from @theacademy award nominee @scotthamiltonkennedy #documentary “Food Revolution” narrated by @neildegrassetyson ... Using the controversy over genetically-modified foods as its entry point, 'Food Evolution' shows how easily fear and misinformation can overwhelm objective, evidence-based analysis.
FOOD EVOLUTION is set amidst a brutally polarized debate marked by fear, distrust and confusion: the controversy surrounding GMOs and food. Traveling from Hawaiian papaya groves, to banana farms in Uganda to the cornfields of Iowa, the film wrestles with the emotions and the evidence driving one of the most heated arguments of our time.
Enlisting experts and icons of the struggle such as Mark Lynas, Alison Van Eenennaam, Jeffrey Smith, Andrew Kimbrell, Vandana Shiva, Robert Fraley, Marion Nestle and Bill Nye, as well as farmers and scientists from around the world, this bold and necessary documentary separates the hype from the science to unravel the debate around food www.foodevolutionmovie.com

This documentary follows five working-class British boys who, having failed their core GCSEs, prepare to re-sit their exams at an Indian boarding school. The world-famous Doon School has an exam pass rate of 100 per cent and British head teacher Matthew Raggett believes he can transform the boys' prospects in just six months.
Simon Cooper (Badger) and Mohsin Bhatti both worked on the series.
Badger said that “The major challenges on this show were the sheer quantity of rushes and the number of storylines to juggle. We also had some characters who were stronger than others so we had to make sure we were fair to the contributors. There were some very sensitive issues over bullying that were rewarding to cut and a wealth of beautiful images to dwell upon, something we were keen to not get lost in the rush to tell the story. Probably one of the most photogenic shows I’ve ever worked on”
Mohsin’s Episode will air on Thursday 12th April. He said “Without giving too much away, the final episode is about big achievements coupled with emotional turns. For us in the edit, one of the biggest challenge was that there was quite a lot of story arches to pack in! It was a real pleasure working with Ziyaad Desai (Producer) and Matt Pelly (Series Producer/Director), they made the experience even more enjoyable and I think it shows in the programme!” Thursday 9pm Channel 4 or you can catch up on other episodes here:

Province of Sistan, Iran
During the past two decades, severe #drought has affected the #climate and residents’ life and #economic opportunities in the south-eastern area of Iran. In this region, those residing in the rural area of Sistan-Baluchistan, and #Kerman province struggle with a number of challenges, which has been aggravated by the extreme weather including extreme heat and drought.
The list of challenges is endless, including chronic hunger and malnutrition; lack of access to shelter; lack of access to potable water and sanitation facilities; lack of access to medical services; low rates of school
attendance and literacy; serious protection issues, significant health related concerns, and lack of access to #healthcare facilities, while many people live on less than a dollar per day.
In this condition, considering the extreme poverty and poor #hygiene level, children are particularly exposed to risks of health. Low level of education and traditional cultural practices among these populations impact their health care and health awareness level. #Children of cousin-marriage, which is prevalent in the region, suffer from extreme genetic disorders. Harsh weather condition in this arid area has increased the rate of respiratory diseases, especially among children. The photos are taken in two villages of Kerman and Sistan- #Baluchistan Province where drought have eventually deteriorated the life condition and put children at serious risks.

The RTA said that in collaboration with the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), the documentary will be made available on GDMO’s YouTube channel and RTA’s website, apart from various social media channels of GDMO. It will later be distributed to local TV channels for wider broadcast.
