It's a beautiful day, full of awesome emotions. Lalalaalaaa. Another day, full of awesome happy Portland temptations. Lalalalaalaaaa.
Poachers laced three elephant carcasses with poisonous chemicals after killing them to prevent bringing attention to the area by circling vultures.
According to the government statement, the dead include 468 white-backed vultures, 28 hooded vultures, 17 white-headed vultures, 14 lappet-faced vultures and 10 cape vultures. Every one of these species is critically endangered. Scientists are saying that because these deaths happened during breeding season, that this will leave all the babies to grow up on their own, and in that case most won’t survive. 😔
We live on planet earth. We get everything for our life from mother earth. We should save our planet earth to ensure that our future generations get a safe environment.
How to save the earth
We can save our planet earth by saving our trees, natural vegetation, natural resources, water, electricity. We can take measures for controlling environmental pollution and global warming.
Save trees. We should plant new trees plant trees. The schemes afforestation and reforestation should be wholeheartedly supported.
Save natural vegetation. We should use less paper. We can make arrangement for recycling of used paper and other natural products. Plants and trees covers and holds the surface of the earth.
Save natural resources. We all know that the supply of natural resources such as minerals, stones, coal, oil, etc. are limited. We can save electricity by putting off the lights when not in use. Or we can switch to fans instead of air conditioners during nights.
Save water. Water is life. It is the basic necessity for every human being living on this planet. We can stop throwing wastes into open water bodies. At home, we can use water cautiously and ensure that it doesn’t get wasted. Remember, a large many people are still deprived of safe pure water. “Be the change that you want to see in this world.”
Save environment from pollution. Don’t pollute water by not throwing wastes into waterborne. Minimize air pollution by reducing harmful emissions. Use less car, less machines, less electricity, and less plastic goods.Eat organic foods.
Save earth from global warming. Industries should regularly check that their machines are emitting smoke within permissible limits. Ensure that wastes are discharged only after treatment.

I love the local market. 🍅Every weekend my mum and I try to make it a ritual: we prepare to bring our own bags, we make a list to avoid food waste, and head to the closest market!👭 Not only is it a good time to be with my family, I love the market atmosphere. Here are my favorite reasons to buy local:
1. It’s healthier. 🏃♀️Producers on market are more careful about the products they sell, and many sell organic or more responsibly-sourced produce. Because it’s also more seasonal and fresh, it’s not only tastier, but also richer in nutrients. Being in front of diverse stalls, you also tend to try new things and hence eat a more varied diet!🥗 2. It’s tastier. 😋 As production and transportation is done closer to you, everything tends to be much more ripe and fresh.
3. It isn’t necessarily more expensive! 💰 Organic or local produce may seem more expensive, but it’s a justified price. You’ll come to eat more plant-based and less overly processed food or meat which are comparatively more expensive. It’s a lifestyle change, you’ll come to realise that it balances itself out and that you won’t be spending more, maybe even less!👍🏻Local seasonal produce is nevertheless cheaper than imported fancy goods.
4. You support local producers. Every purchase is a vote: when you buy from local producers you send out a message that « I’m not ok with the way local producers are treated today, and I engage myself to make things change. »🙌🏻 5. It’s better for the 🌍. Less energy used, less packaging, less OGM and chemical products, less food waste, less profit to non-environmental friendly corporations.👊🏻 6. It’s a social moment. Much nicer to hang out at a market than in huge supermarket isles! And people tend to be so open and friendly to chat and advise you on what’s best to buy, you’ll end up coming back with a huge smile😀
What’s your favorite thing about local markets 😇

The first time I painted this iconic duo was in 2014 (I think) they were a definite for the new ‘Not All Heroes...’ series. I hope they inspire you as their words of wisdom give me hope, our planet needs us! 💚
