Chicken almond soup - a very healthy option, it's an almond flavoured chicken soup. It has a very nutty texture and plated on the table.
Rating - 7.5/10
Chicken tikka salad - fresh crunchy lettuce and bell peppers tossed with tandoori roasted chicken tikka and flavoured with mint. Super refreshing and yum.
Rating - 9.5/10
Chef's special non veg platter - includes an assorted variety of chicken, seekh kabab, fish and prawn grills. Served on a flaming coal to remain warm, tasted fresh even if left until a while later on the table.

Sesame chilli prawns - claimed to be prawns marinated with sesame, red chilli, cashew and yogurt and cooked in a tandoor oven, although honestly, the prawns were fresh but tasted really bland like it was marinated with just salted yogurt. No other flavour was evident.

Lamb galouti kabab - lamb kabab cooked in Chef's special spices, a flavor that melts in your mouth.

Habibiya lamb chops - tender lamb chops marinated in brown cashew nut and onion paste with Awadhi spices. I would've liked it a little more well done, and with some more spices.

Raan-e-meraz - usually a lamb's whole leg prepared specially by the chef. They informed us that they ran out of legs and whether it was ok for us to have a shoulder instead. We opted for the shoulder and this one was fantastic! A huge portion should easily suffice 5-6 people.

Customers kept flowing in up until 11pm when we left, because obviously the food was good, but the service was super duper slow. They looked pretty understaffed and we had lost our appetite midway through the meal.

Gustoso (@gustoso_muscat) Part 1
I've always claimed to love Italian food. To me, it was the love for pastas and pizzas. But now that I've tried actual Italian food, I only love it even more.
Tucked away in Qurum, @gustoso_muscat is a beautiful restaurant which makes you feel like you are in a different country altogether. I'm assuming the red and white plaid is a cultural thing having seen it in a couple other restaurants as well.
We were a little upset to not understand a single thing in the menu, although it had explanations of allll of them. Thankfully, Mr. Luca and his wife came to our rescue. They brought in starters which they thought we would like and we definitely loved it!
Parmigiano - grilled aubergine slices, tomato sauce, mozarella and parmesan cheese. How is this simple dish so yummy! Now I'm not a fan of aubergines. So when asked if we like it we were skeptical but decided to go with it anyway when told it was their specialty. Really glad we did.

Lasagna con ripio di carne, besciamella e pomodore - EXACTLY! NO CLUE. A rich dish with rogout sauce, creamy bechamel and parmesan cheese. I really will keep going back just for this if not for the rest😍😍😍

Insalata gustosa - green and red salad with carrots, apples, walnuts, parmesan cheese and honey. Very refreshing and really nice with the thinly sliced green apples. Nice crunch from the walnuts.. Something different.
