Arugula is a spicy, leafy green that is used mostly as a salad green. Arugula is a member of the mustard family which explains some of its spicy, nutty flavor. The dark green leaf itself is similar in shape to an oak leaf or oak leaf lettuce. Read more about Arugula and its benefits and why it is an unusual green in my blog:

These are part of a custom #workinprogress they won't all be used in the same piece, but when making something intricate like flowers, I often make a lot even if I only need one or two.
I tried to be patient about sharing them, but I failed.
Polymer clay Borage flowers. The third image is a collection of photos of real borage flowers.
I probably spent a couple of hours just trying to get the colour right.
Random facts ahead!
Borage is an edible herb with fuzzy leaves and blue flowers (which often slowly turn pink as they age) the star-shaped flowers sir on curved stems, so one of borage's common names is "shooting stars."
The leaves have a cucumber flavor. The edible flowers make a beautiful garnish, and their subtly sweet cucumber flavor means that they work well in sandwiches and fruit salads.
The flowers are especially attractive to bees, which gained this plant the common name "bee bread"
That was a bit rambly, but enjoy!

If you joined us for Valentine's Day, these little beauties should look very familiar. Below are some Fun Facts about #Mignardises (borrowed from Saveur):
This parting gesture from the kitchen—usually an artful arrangement of confections—is a tradition that dates back to 18th-century France. Once pastry chefs had finished their work for the day in their brick ovens, they placed small treats inside to bake in the low, residual heat; the name mignardise comes from the Old French word for "precious" or "cute." Nowadays, chefs use these to create a final impression that embodies the spirit of the restaurant and extends the pleasure of the meal.

Gorse flower petals 🌼
If you don’t mind a bit of bad weather and fancy a wander in the storm winds battering the coast, go and pick some vibrant yellow gorse flowers.💨 .
Although they do smell more fragrant when the sun is shining they still smell wonderfully of coconut (just close your eyes and imagine you’re on a tropical island 🏝). You could sprinkle them raw on your food or make a coconutty floral cordial or syrup (to add to a rum cocktail perhaps🍹) .
