You’re not the only one! While we are still in Vata season (cool, dry, light, mobile), the fact that it’s staying darker later into our mornings, increases Kapha (heaviness and lethargy).
When we feel we can’t move and don’t want to move, the best thing we can do is move.
This movement doesn’t have to be yoga. It can be any thing that gets your heart pumping, your blood flowing, and builds some heat.
It doesn’t have to be an hour long work out. It just needs to be long enough to shake off and out anything that feels like it’s weighing you down.

There are countless supplements, beverages and food products out there containing beets nowadays and while these are all great, in my opinion nothing “Beats the fresh BEET” 😉 (whole foods in their most natural state as much as possible) that’s the goal 👍🏻 If you are trying fresh beets by juicing or blending for the first time, start with a small amount esp if you don’t eat a clean diet on a consistent basis. Beets are very cleansing and can make you feel tired when first using them as they cleanse the system and then after consistent use they begin to energize.
A word of caution: Beets and greens are high in Oxalate (Oxalic Acid) and those with Oxalate kidney stones should not use them or at least keep it to minimum.

Well..... I actually exercise 4 days a week. But I “move” my body every day.
I don’t consider walking a work out, it’s a daily activity that my body was meant to do! And my ❤️ requires.
Exercise gives you endorphins! Endorphins make YOU HAPPY!!! And happy people don’t suck🤣💯🙋🏼♀️ HAPPY people DO choose to be happy, they DO love life and a whole lot more!!😚💁🏼♀️🎉 PS -I SHOW UP because I choose to. I also show up to be accountable to my tribe!

The photo on the right was one year ago today, and the photo on the left was taken yesterday. Although you may not see a huge transformation other than a little Leaner muscle, there has been so much that has taken place in the past year and I am such a better person for it!! This may not be a big inspiration for some people who look at this and think oh she’s always small, there’s nothing to lose there etc!!! I know that at 5 foot three, if I didn’t keep my health in check, I could balloon up!! But not only is it about taking care of my body so that my clothes fit better, it’s definitely about keeping my body as healthy as I can because I do have that control!! So do you!! It’s a mindset first!! Please don’t judge other people and their journey, it’s all personal. Everyone has different goals and different obstacles.

Whew! It has been a hot minute since I have made a post. And there’s a couple of reasons WHY. ☝🏽 I don’t want to post content just for the sake of putting something out there. If I’m going to say something, I want there to be thought, emotion, value and a lesson to be learned along with it. And ✌🏼, because I have simply just been over here living MY BEST life. I feel like one of the biggest excuses I used to use was: ‘I don’t have time’ and honestly, that wasn’t the case. I used to spend SO much time on social media, so I’ve really tried to cut back on the time I spend scrolling, and even taking pictures 📸. I don’t want my workouts to be just about the pictures, but I want them to be about ME and doing what I love & what makes me feel good 💕. I CAN promise 🙏🏽 you, that if you see me LESS, it’s because I’m doing MORE. Not because I’ve given up, or even fallen off the face of the earth 🌎 . I’m just busy focusing on my priorities, my goals, my physical & mental health 💪🏽 and my family & friends 🖤. I want you to know that it’s okay to take time out for yourself, to focus on yourself. It really truly is okay to make your priorities and your LIFE, #1. If you’re not taking care of yourself, how do you expect to take care of others 💕
