Do you use timers to get your work done⏲
I constantly use timers. In fact I'm using one right now. 💻😃
Ten minutes to create the blog graphic and schedule it. 🔟
Ten minutes to write the rough draft. 🔟
Thirty minutes to write the good copy, add hashtags and emojis.🔟🔟🔟
I got into this habit early on in my writing life when I would use ten minute timed writings to get my creativity flowing🖊. It was a way to free write and see what would flow out of my pen and onto the paper📖, as well as to stop the critical mind from editing ❌as I go.
I find that with the increase in the amount of content I write all week long: Instagram posts, blogs, writing for the art gallery, etc, I use the timer even more to keep to my schedule and avoid overwhelm😟.
It makes copywriting and content creation so much more manageable✅.
I think to myself: “Just do ten minutes. You can do ten minutes.”🔟
And the most important part is I honour my promise to myself, and don't let myself go past the time. And I develop trust in myself that I will do the things I say I’m going to do. 💖
And best of all, I outsmart my perfectionist brain. After the ten minutes is up, it is GOOD ENOUGH, and I move onto the next post 📕📗📘📙📚.
Trust me. Try using a timer ⏲.

No SoCo tonight!
SoCo is all about carving out space in our daily lives for mental and emotional processing. The idea behind this project is that the more we normalize what it means to be human - in public spaces that feel fun, engaging, supportive, vibrant and uplifting - the better we can be at building lives, communities and societies that help us thrive.
We fit nicely in the space between community and mental health practitioners, and so I decided to pause our regularly scheduled programing in order to help spread the word about our space.
But don’t worry, there will be one more pop-up before the end of the winter season.

This is Marichyasana D, the deepest twist of the Ashtanga primary series and considered to be one of the gateway postures to advance the practice. One of the many benefits of the primary series is that all the previous postures help open the hips in preparation for the half lotus position, as well as opening the shoulders for the bind....so practicing Marichyasanas B and C as we do in class, helps prepare for this challenging twist. There are also modifications for D that I sometimes teach in class too.
I never thought my body would do this when I first started practicing but, after several years, it finally did 😊 Every time we practice we get a little deeper and find more ease, more comfort, more space....👌💫💖
