We did it! We crossed that finish line! 50km in 12hrs 45minutes. It wasn’t easy but it was amazing and I feel like I’ve accomplished something massive (also must mention I feel like an old woman today, can only shuffle along extremely slowly and can’t straighten my legs! I’m in fits of laugher and tears of pain all at the same time at how sore it is and how funny I must look 😂) Thank you to the incredible Lee Baker who organised us all, accommodated us, kept us fed, made us feel so cared for and put in hours and hours behind the scenes.
Thank you to our support crew, Bjorn and Josh for keeping our spirits lifted at the check points - “Rejuvenation Station”, “Inspiration Station” and “Celebration Station”. Tevita and Rob who were also our unofficial support crew, from walking us into the check points to stretching out our muscles. It was great having you there to help.
Thank you to those who supported our walk financially on the Oxfam page. As a team we raised almost 2.5k (and its actually not too late to donate to our walk - oxfamtrailwalker.org.nz/team-life-fm)
And saved the best till last, a huge big thank you to my team for walking it out with me! Could not have done that with out you. You kept my pace and encouraged, and waited for me when I lagged behind. “Come on, Sherryn”. What happens on Trailwalker, stays on Trailwalker 😂👍🏼 Ready to do it all again next ye..... kidding. That was a once in a lifetime for me but y’all go ahead! 📸 @nzleebaker and my iPhone 😂👍🏼
Meet me in a cafe that smells like home,
the one that smells of cinnamon and coffee.
Just like you did that day,
when you bumped into me for the first time. - #themagicalwalk
This picture is not of a cafe in a European town, it is of a place hidden in the corners of Ferrari world, away from the world.
Ferrari world has been on top of the best places I've visited list since ever. And if you do not wish to stand in lines there, do not forget to take a golden pass, you save a lot of time and can visit all the rides. Been there, done that!
3 Simple rules in life: 1️⃣ If you do not go after what you want in life you will never have it. 2️⃣ If you do not ask, the answer will always be no. 3️⃣ If you do not step forward, you will always be in the same place.” - Nora Roberts
It’s that simple

1-Avoid multitasking (it stresses you)
2-Organize yourself and make a list of pending tasks (you will relax your brain when sizing the time it will take you to do things)
3-Create work habits: (you will start doing them almost automatically)
4-Respect the necessary times of rest (without rest there is no fuel)
5-Identify your peak hours and take advantage of them (identify at what time you surrender more to work)
6-Do not constantly delay difficult decisions (you will only add stress when thinking about that slope again)
7-Force yourself to have leisure time, as a goal or reward (if you think of a reward, it will be easier for you to complete each task). 🌺
