This is a screen shot from a heartbreaking report from the @txcivilrights that came out today. The report concludes that families are still being seperated. Since Trump enacted the executive order to end his zero tolerance policy (which was what allowed family separation to happen in the first place) 272 families have been seperated.
Pls go and read the report. You must know what your government is doing in your name. Knowledge is power.
There will be some important hearings in the next couple of weeks. I’ll be posting on how you can organize to stop this cruelty. In the meantime educate yourself about the horror so it can motivate you into action. The link to the report is in my bio.
“...Yes, international adoption corruption is that cruel... We all should be aware of this heinous crime against innocent children and their humble biological families who have fallen victims to international adoption corruption...” Source: https://adoptionland.org/970/international-adoption-corruption/ .

This is a photo of me serving as a missionary for my church on the Texas / Mexican border. The president of my church spoke out about family separation and the need to love our neighbors at the border. There are so many 💎 gems of wisdom in here, I wanted to share it. “the church doesn't take a formal position on political proposals, but that the church issued a statement "pleading" with government officials to reunite separated migrant families.
Nelson said that he understands a nation's need to protect its borders, but said he hopes those concerns are balanced with a desire to help others. "We hope in every country they will be mindful of the fact that we are our brother's keepers and we are to love our neighbors and we are to keep families together and not separate families," he said.
Both men emphasized that although politics can be polarizing, church members have a responsibility of loving even those people they disagree with. Oaks noted that contention "drives away the spirit of the Lord," with Nelson adding that church members should spend more time working with people they disagree with instead of arguing with them.... You don't have to hate your enemy," he said. "We would like to spend our time building bridges of cooperation rather than walls of separation." #ldschurch #keepfamiliestogether #familiesbelongtogether #familiesareforever #mexicanamerican #daughterofimmigrants #immigrationreform #prudence

Do you ever think about the story behind the trash you come across Probably not. You probably get infuriated, pick it up, and dispose of it properly. And you move on. I can assure you that if you ever join Border Angels on a water drop, you will think about the story behind every empty plastic bottle, every tattered T-shirt and blanket, every rusted can you come across.
You will find it, and shiver. You will pick it, and wonder who touched it last. You will hold it in your hands, and will stare at it. You will close your eyes and your mind will begin to wonder...who, when, why. And you will cry because you will never know. You will dry your tears and remind yourself why you are in the desert on a cold and windy day, surrounded by a group of determined people, being led by a fierce leader looking for a perfect spot to leave the gallons of water, the warm jackets, the emergency blankets, the hand warmers, the cans of food.
You will give a resounding “Yes!” when the leader asks if you are willing to go a little further, a little higher, maybe do a little rock scrambling. How can I not You will silently question. You will think you are tired but will push forward because you know that the contents in your backpack may be the difference between life and death for the brother or sister you will never meet.
You will feel the perfect spot beckon you. You will remove the gallon of water and the supply pack from you backpack and you will make absolutely sure that is the perfect place before lovingly leaving it. Your back will feel lighter but your heart will be heavier. You may pray before you leave.
The stories behind the trash will be frustratingly elusive but you will accept it. You will count your blessings the rest of the day. You will resolve to return the following month. Yes, you are needed. And now you know. www.borderangels.org ✊🏼💙✊🏼 #borderangelsofficial #nooneisillegal #familiesbelongtogether #caravanamigrante #migrantcaravan #bondadfrontera #borderkindness #solidarity #lovetrumpshate #lgbtq
It’s not a waste of time to work with them! Unfortunately many are brainwashed into thinking the @gop actually cares about them, but we will change their mindsets! I’d rather have moderate Republicans (educated) than Trumpers!
Look at all these angels that came out on a snowy night to practice and support the Caritas fundraiser! Thank you all for showing up with so much love. @shwizzlestix THANK YOU for your beautiful beautiful words and your loving guidance. Today at the UN we made our voices heard to the Director of the New York Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights, presenting strong statements and stories of why there needs to be an investigation into the US government’s violations of human rights of asylum seekers at the US/Mex border. We also delivered a petition coordinated by US Human Rights Network, CREDO action, Presente.org, and Puente Movement signed by 80k+ persons that agree that the UN needs to take a stand against the inhumane treatment of migrants and asylum seekers. Powerful moments at this meeting. So honored and grateful to have been a part of this group of amazing human rights protectors and human beings! #asylumseekers #migrantcaravan #familiesbelongtogether

“Social justice is an underlying principle for peaceful and prosperous coexistence within and among nations. We uphold the principles of social justice when we promote gender equality or the rights of indigenous peoples and migrants. We advance social justice when we remove barriers that people face because of gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion, culture or disability.” - @unitednations
HAPPENING NOW: Statue of Liberty climber Patricia Okoumou (@officialpatriciaokoumou) is in a peaceful standoff with police at the top of the Austin HQ of Southwest Key, the "nonprofit" that's made a lucrative empire out of housing detained migrant children. Okoumou has been on the structure for more than 6 hours and has vowed not to come down until all children in immigrant detention are released and reunited with their families. (She was convicted in federal court on three misdemeanors for her Statue of Liberty climb and faces sentencing for that protest on March 19.) Photo: Lisa Fithian
UPDATE: Patricia came down of her own accord after more than eight hours -- to a cheering crowd of neighbors, I'm told -- and will be charged with criminal trespass. .
