June 2019 - October 2019 Am I finished •
I spent so much time checking the scale every week that I was beginning to only appreciate my hard work when I would see the numbers drop.
My advice for any of my friends going through a transformation is to take pictures even when you do not want to. •
The scale can truly be a deterrent and in my opinion it’s best to check your progression through body measurements and 📸 ‼️
My work is never done and I’m constantly fighting my binge eating and gaining a healthy relationship with food but I’m proud to say I feel better than I did a year ago today, and it’s more than just skin deep. •
Keep fighting, keep pushing, and keep your vision alive. We are capable of so much more than we think, you have to want better and feel better. If you are on a fitness journey and need someone to talk to for tips, advice, or just motivation feel free to DM me. 🙌🏽
IT’S OKAY TO MESS UP💟
You didn’t make it to the gym as many times as you planned.🏋🏼♀️
You didn’t eat the food you prepped cause you forgot it at home when going to work.🍴
You stayed up late watching Friends on Netflix so you didn’t get enough sleep.📺 .
Or you are a bag of chips, 2 chocolate 🍫 bars, and didn’t eat a single vegetable 🍅 all day.
It’s okay. Really, it is.
Progress is NEVER a linear process. There will be bumps ♒️ and barriers through it all, but if you don’t give up then you’ll get where you want to be.
Don’t be afraid to reach out for help and take away most of the struggle.
PS dedication & consistency > motivation
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. It turns problems into gifts, failures into successes, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. It can turn an existence into a real life, and disconnected situations into important and beneficial lessons. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. Gratitude makes things right.
