• A 0.6 lbs loss is a loss and it's a start. • I woke up today feeling so motivated, don't know if it's the weather, but it's weird because I did and felt like this the exact same time last year and kick started my diet after my sister's birthday on the 5th March.
• A couple of my dresses and skirts have got a teency bit too tight so hoping to lose the weight just to get back into them ready for the sunshine and my holiday in July.
• If I manage to go further then that will be a bonus!! .

But you said that with a newborn you still NEED SLEEP to be optimal with your training⠀

I still standby that with a newborn you need sleep to be optimal with your fat loss or strength gains⠀
⠀
The key for me/you is optimising the sleep you (or I) do get, with good habits.⠀
⠀
The sleep may be less, but OPTIMAL...⠀
⠀
These are the cardinal rules I stick to, that are a must for new dads or even those who struggle with sleep.⠀
⠀
1. No caffeine after 1200⠀
2. No Phones/TV's screens etc in your bedroom⠀
3. Dark cool room⠀
4. No alcohol (2 weeks is my cut off)⠀
⠀
Your sleep may be limited, but if you can optimise your sleep, you will optimise your training and fat loss⠀

Συχνά ακούμε από διάσημους (και μη) ότι ξεκινούν την ημέρα τους με ένα ποτήρι νερό με λεμόνι για τις ευεργετικές του ιδιότητες. Οι ιδιότητες που αναφέρουν συχνά είναι η #απώλεια βάρους & #λιποδιάλυση, η #αποτοξίνωση, και η αλκαλοποίηση του οργανισμού.

Ας δούμε τι ισχύει στην πράξη
.
Πέρα από την μικρή προς μέτρια ποσότητα #βιταμίνης #C που παίρνουμε με το να προσθέτουμε χυμό λεμονιού στο νερό μας, και το γεγονός οτι πίνουμε νερό δεν υπάρχουν επιπλέον πλεονεκτήματα!

Όσον αφορά τη λιποδιάλυση και την απώλεια βάρους, κάτι τέτοιο δεν γίνεται. Δεν υπάρχει τροφή ή ρόφημα που θα καταναλώσουμε και θα πάει να "διαλύσει" ή "κάψει" το #λίπος του σώματός μας, καθώς κάτι τέτοιο δεν υποστηρίζεται από την φυσιολογία του σώματος.

Επίσης, αναφορικά με την αποτοξίνωση του οργανισμού, αυτή γίνεται συνεχώς από τον οργανισμό μας, μέσω νεφρών και ήπατος, κυρίως. Δεν υπάρχει τρόφιμο ή #δίαιτα που θα οδηγήσει στην αποτοξίνωση του οργανισμού. Για να υποστηριχτεί η αποτοξίνωση του οργανισμού είναι η βέλτιστη λειτουργία του, και αυτό που χρειάζεται είναι να ακολουθούμε μια πλήρη & ισορροπημένη #διατροφή, και να προσλαμβάνουμε πληρθώρα θρεπτικών συστατικών!

Αν και μερικοί πιστεύουν ότι το νερό με λεμόνι κάνει αλκαλικό τον οργανισμό μας, κάτι τέτοιο δεν ισχύει, καθώς ο οργανισμός μας έχει αλκαλικό #pH, ανεξαρτήτα με το τι θα φάμε ή θα πιούμε.

Ορισμένες μελέτες δείχνουν ότι ενδέχεται 85 ml νερό με λεμόνι να βοηθάει στην πρόληψη & αντιμετώπιση πέτρας στους νεφρούς, χάρη στο κιτρικό οξύ που περιέχει.

Επίσης, άλλοι λένε ότι το νερό με λεμόνι βοηθάει στη σωστή λειτουργία των οργάνων και του γαστρεντερικού, αλλά αυτό ουσιαστικά είναι χάρη στο νερό!

Τέλος, χρειάζεται προσοχή και για το σμάλτο των δοντιών, λόγω της οξύτητας του λεμονιού!

This workout felt AMAZING this morning! This is what a typical lifting session looks like for me. I did light/moderate weight today with a moderate/high rep range. And let me tell ya, it burned 🔥⁣

⚡️High Bar Heel Elevated Split Squats - 5 sets of 8-10 reps - the heel elevation allows for a more upright torso and more knee flexion making this a quad dominant exercise ⁣

⚡️Front Foot Heel Elevated Split Squats - 4 sets of 10-12 reps each leg - think forward and back with these lunges and not so much up and down. The forward lean promotes knee flexion and more quad focused this way ⁣

⚡️Heel Elevated Constant Tension Goblet Squats - 4 sets of 12-15 reps - don’t lock your knees at the top, you will feel the continuous burn on this one ⁣

⚡️Close Stance Bulgarian Split Squat - 4 sets of 12-15 reps each leg - Bulgarian split squats can either be quad or glute dominant based on the foot placement. The closer to the bench/box your foot is, the more quad dominant it is. The further away it is, the more glute dominant. ⁣

Happy Wednesday friends!!! ⁣🤗 ⁣ I originally asked on my story what you wanted to see first, quads or glutes. And when I got to the gym, the things I needed to hip thrust were taken so I had to hit some quads today.⁣ ⁣ I’ll post glutes later this week when I hit glutes! This is what a typical lifting session looks like for me. I did light/moderate weight today with a moderate/high rep range. And let me tell ya, it burned 🔥⁣ ⁣ ⚡️High Bar Heel Elevated Split Squats - 5 sets of 8-10 reps - the heel elevation allows for a more upright torso and more knee flexion making this a quad dominant exercise ⁣ ⁣ ⚡️Front Foot Heel Elevated Split Squats - 4 sets of 10-12 reps each leg - think forward and back with these lunges and not so much up and down. The forward lean promotes knee flexion and more quad focused this way ⁣ ⁣ ⚡️Heel Elevated Constant Tension Goblet Squats - 4 sets of 12-15 reps - don’t lock your knees at the top, you will feel the continuous burn on this one ⁣ ⁣ ⚡️Close Stance Bulgarian Split Squat - 4 sets of 12-15 reps each leg - Bulgarian split squats can either be quad or glute dominant based on the foot placement. The closer to the bench/box your foot is, the more quad dominant it is.
