Here is a sketch from 2 years ago. I’m a self portrait artist. For years I’ve struggled to find my identity and style in art. People always ask me, “what do you paint” I would stutter and freeze feeling insecure to say, I AM A SELF PORTRAIT ARTIST, because I know they will judge me as egotistical. But it’s meant to target the ego and turn it into vulnerability, passion and strength. This is a sacred ritual much bigger than me. I don’t focus on a specific painting style, I focus on allowing my spirit to grow through the bristles of my brushes and expand with the canvas. My art is used to heal my traumatic blues, and feed my enlightened purples. Painting is part of my religion, capturing the divinity the universe has given me and allowing it to live forever as an offering of eternal love and gratitude for this lifetime...Thank you dear God of Love for these shaky hands I’ve learned to tame and this aching heart I’ve learned to heal. Amen Art. ..

One more mini painting is done✔️👩🎨🎨🌴
This one is recreation of one of the amazing paintings of @colorbyfeliks His work is more than inspiring❤️ So I couldn't help but try to recreate one of his artworks ✌️👩🎨 The palm trees in this size were bit of a challenge but NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE 💪💪
Do you like how it turned out Let me know in the comments 🤗
Attempting to translate my tiny botanical sketch into a larger piece for a commission. It’s been helpful to watch my own process videos because when I play it back I like the first lines on the very pale background better than the more painterly style I created in the end.🤔 But it sure is fun to throw caution to the wind and put paint to paper. 💕 #letssticktogethersketchbook
Finally a #sunnyday to take pictures of my art! This was taken with my #iphone7plus while I waited for the #dslr to finish charging. The very bright white areas are actually #iridescent paint, not sure how to capture that on camera yet. And now I’m wondering how #prints of this will work... hmmm......... 🤔
Anyone else in the Dallas area enjoying this beautiful sunshine! Tell me how in the comments! 👇👇👇 “Goodnight & Go”

The air feels electric lately... I think it has something to do with spring coming. This winter was hard for me, in a lot of ways that I was not ready for. But somehow... it all ended up turning into this. This excitement, this inspiration, this drive to continue bringing truth and love into the world. For those of you who don’t know me very well... I graduated last year with a degree in environmental science; I work with a nonprofit called the Citizens Climate Lobby & it is my truest intention to bring to this world, more love and more kindness and more truth than there was when I entered it. My artwork is a large part of that. But as a financially stable, healthy and able white woman, I cannot live in a bubble of my own fantasies. Creating art is an incredible experience and I hope that it can act as a testament to some of the transformations that are possible from within the human heart. But the climate is changing, we have racist, homophobic, sexist liars as ‘leaders,’ and people are dying in the streets of this county because of the massive amount of institutionalized discrimination that currently exists... and if I were to not say anything about these things, if I were to just play in my bubble of privilege, I’d be doing an injustice to the thousands of people who now follow me on here. So I just want to say this... Do what makes you happy. Chase your dreams. Let yourself get lost and fall on your face, learn to pick yourself up and continue fighting... but if dreams and goals and happiness are where you spend your energy and your time... count yourself lucky. #grateful #but #notcomplacent #readyforchange #bethechange #bigthingsarecoming
I have been challenging myself to do a minimum of 10 quick sketches per day, but I secretly aim for 20/day.
I have been enjoying the results, no matter how scribbled they might appear.
This year I am focusing on growth and I am reserving judgment for a later date. ☕ #kathryneide

Vigée Le Brun pintó a María Antonieta varias veces. Su obra forma parte de colecciones de importantes museos como el Louvre , London National Gallery, el Met, Hermitage museum entre otros.
