I FOUND A BRALETTE THAT FITS!! Oh my goodness I am over the freaking MOON about this 💫 It’s literally impossible to find bralettes that fit bustier girls and that actually hold them up to a degree. I got this gem at @kmartaus for less than $15
How many girls are in this photo The student is one of them because she has summoned some nerve to meet her dissertation adviser today for minor change of plans...
You are no less valuable at a size 18 than a size 4 ❤️
“Fall down 7 times. Stand up 8.” ⠀
I want to tell you guys the real reason I became obsessed with fitness. The reason I’ve never shared on social media. ⠀
It became my escape. It became the only thing I could control. ⠀
Most of you don’t know of the bruises I had to hide. Or the fact that he kept me from seeing my family often or even talking to them for that matter. I lost contact with all friends. ⠀
So the gym became mine. ⠀
It was that one thing he couldn’t take from me. Or so I thought. There were days he wouldn’t let me go, there were weeks I had to wait for the bruise to fade enough to go. ⠀
When I wasn’t able to workout, I had control of what I ate—you see the pattern, I had control of something. ⠀
I don’t want your sympathy, this isn’t that kind of post. I want you to know that things do get better. You WILL find happiness. ⠀
Fall down 7 times, stand up 8. ⠀
Do not, I repeat do NOT let anything or anyone keep you down. Stand up! Find your reason to keep going.

I’ve been listening to #The10xRule by @grantcardone and I LOVE the quote - “Where ever I go, there I am.” Think about it...the only person that will ALWAYS be there no matter where you go is you. YOU are the only person that has the power to find solutions and bring success in YOUR life.
So here I am, finding a new direction, taking charge and creating opportunities, finding what works and what doesn’t in all aspects FOR ME!! If you’re stuggling, just know YOU have the power to change your life. You got this mija! We’re all here just trying to figure out our life right there with ya! ✨
“The woman who follows the crowd, will usually go no further than the crowd. ⠀
The woman who walks alone is likely to find herself in places no one has ever been before” ✨✨⠀
Always stay in your magic💫💫
Keep putting in the work and show up as your true authentic self every day💗 It can be scary to go for the things you want in life; you will have those feelings of doubt, have people making you believe you aren’t worth it or it’s not possible, but you are worth it and it is possible🙏🏻 Life is always going to be tricky and testing It takes courage, hard work and believing in yourself🕊Stay focused and grind daily!!
Oh this body 💜
I never imagined when I weighed 174 I would experience the same feelings toward my body at 123.
The shock when I sit down or bend over and see this tummy still holding on for dear life.
But wait...this tummy HELD life. 3 beautiful little girls made their home here. A total of 27 months was spent stretching and growing this space!
I have so much healing that needs to happen when it comes to body positivity, self love, acceptance. I’m doing that for my girls so they grow up loving every inch of themselves and never question its existence...
<<< NOT MY QUOTE - BUT I WISH IT WAS! >>> . "Gratitude is not a virtue but a survival skill, and our capacity for it grows with our suffering. That is why it is the least privileged, not the most, who excel in appreciating the smallest of offerings." . 🎂 My sister Chris celebrated a BIG birthday this past week . 📝 She shared an article with me that a friend sent her… . ❓I don’t know who to give credit to for this quote ❓ . (but I really liked it and wanted to share) . 🗞 The article was in the NY Times.

For @silt_photography and me, the more important facet of the show is the 25% donation to the Women’s Resource Center from the sales of each of our pieces. Come support local art, women, and your community! 💕

Recently, I have been getting messages from people criticizing me for some of my “sexually explicit” photos. I have been told that I can’t be both a good Christian and post photos like that. Well here’s what I’ve got to say about that...
I attended a southern Baptist church until middle school. It was there that I was taught that it is a sin to have sex outside of marriage, that I can’t wear shorts above my knees, I can’t reveal any cleavage, etc. When I began attending a non-denomination church, I was introduced to a completely different point of view.
To the uneducated people who have criticized me for the way I live my life, the way I dress, or the photos I post:
Did y’all know that early Christians actually started practicing celibacy because they were convinced the end of the world was near! Marriage wasn't always defined and controlled by the church. And even within marriage, sex wasn't always something that Christians were taught to enjoy and cherish. The standards on what it means to be a sexual person and live a Christian life have changed dramatically over the years. Further more, Jesus had very little to say about sex. Besides speaking against lust and against divorce, Jesus himself didn't have a lot to say about issues of sexuality. He was probably too busy hanging out with the poor and healing the sick to care if you ask me. Jesus also had nothing at all to say about homosexuality or sexual identity as we understand it today. The majority of the beliefs about sex, homosexuality, etc actually comes from Christian leaders who started spreading christianity after Jesus' death.
I was taught to live like Jesus did and live a life that makes him proud. I have a servants heart and spread the word of Jesus. HIS word. Not other’s interpretations of his word. And just like in Jesus’ time, there are more important things to be worrying about in today’s world than what someone is wearing or how they are living their life. As long as they are not hurting anyone and they are happy, I don’t see the issue.
Standing on a mountain topless is empowering. Confidence is sexy. And I am unapologetically confident with who I am (inside and out). It’s 2019 Y’all🤷♀️
It’s one of your highest vibrational frequencies... therefore when you:
Meditate for the joy of it rather than because it’s something ‘you need to do to connect to upstairs’, you’ll ‘get there’ so much quicker with no resistance.
When you follow your joy this is your SOUL guiding you. As opposed to following what you should be doing, this is your MIND guiding you.
Know that your soul is guiding you through joy now... and to trust it. We were often guided away from this at school so have learned to discount joy as our quickest guide to a happy and abundant life. .
But truly joy IS WHO you are and so in following your bliss you’re just following who you are.
The more YOU, you become The quicker you magnetise your beautiful vibration to you in the form of true success, building wealth, love and a fulfilling life. .
Following your joy breaks through your upper limit fast and you’ll have way more fun along the way in this game of life, instead of following the old ‘should paradigm.’
If you simply follow your joy you are following the guidance of your higher self which is always for your highest good.
This life is meant to be enjoyed. That’s why joy is our guide. .
What if you asked yourself today, “What will bring me joy” And used this as your compass Would your vibration rise Ability to manifest rise Enjoyment of life rise
Yes yes yes yes yes!

In Ayurveda, we seek sustainable bliss—never dependent on a substance, food, or any other external source. The goals of Ayurveda are to keep us healthy as we pursue more important spiritual goals, stay free of disease, and to show us how to use our health as a basis for the path to Enlightenment (Self-realized, sustainable bliss). Ayurveda can be defined as the science of human longevity, but it is really an art of being, a state in which to live with the most optimal, abundant life force energy possible.
Of course I am not worried about intimidating men. The type of man who will be intimidated by me is exactly the type of man I have no interest in. (Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie) 💁🏻♀️
I’ve been reading some really great #heforshe posts from @drerichanderer @reneeparo & @doctorenough and wanted to share my thoughts. I consider myself a #strongwoman but I couldn’t be half the person I’ve grown into being over the last 6 years without this man right here. He won’t speak for me, but he will speak UP for me. (Hello, #amplifywomen) He won’t tell me what to do, but he does help me figure things out for myself. He never decides things for me, but is a non-stop sounding board as I work through problems. He doesn’t stand in front of me, but beside me.
I’m not trying to be #relationshipgoals. We’re not perfect and we definitely don’t have it all figured out. But I do think it’s important to involve men, good men, in the empowerment of women everywhere. When I look around at some of the men in my life (both at home and as classmates), I know that I can count on them to have my back.
It’s a good thing Timmy doesn’t have IG, because I’m about to enter full-on proud wife mode with y’all. He’s probably better at sharing feelings than I am. He’a never met a baby or animal that he didn’t fall in love with. (And they love him back, which annoys me because I’m supposed to be the fun one. 😉) He’s caring and respectful and has made me believe that non-toxic masculinity exists.
I think that as we ask men to do their part and amplify women, we should encourage and promote the traits that make kind, strong men as well. Those are the men that are involved in #heforshe. Those are the men that show up to our AMWA events as allies. Those are the men I want to see little boys grow in to. Those are the men that will help us make this world a better place. #asawoman
Let’s cheat on our fears, break-up with our doubts, get engaged to our self-beliefs and marry our own inner strength!✨💍🥂💪🏽
WHO IS READY FOR A BREAK-UP, ENGAGEMENT AND A MARRIAGE 😜👇🏽
I am feeling so freaking content lately!! Sure sometimes I feel sad or small or anxious. But life has been great because I’ve actually been putting in an effort to DO things and be present with people.
You know that moment when you’re considering doing something with friends or even by yourself. But that little voice in your head is all like “no stay home and watch another episode of the office and eat chips in bed”. Well— acknowledge that voice but ignore it. Move past it! Do the things you feel like doing. Get outside. Take a bath. Book a trip. Go to a yoga or workout class. Grab a coffee with a friend.
Self-care is not selfish. This is the year I’m dedicating to deeply caring for myself. Who’s with me 🌟🙋🏼♀️
