You can play around with grip width and where you lower yourself towards the bar. You can lower yourself so the bar comes across your eyes, forehead, or even above your head to decide what feels best to you.

You can also try different bar heights. The higher the bar, the easier it will be.

Want to really have some fun??? Do a dropset by starting with the bar low and raise it up multiple times to really burn out your triceps.

I had an annoying day. Honestly been kinda in a funk all week. I find myself lately wasting a ton of my valuable energy on people who don't really matter to me or I've been reaching to make connections with people that will never amount to anything. Just a little snippet of me bagging out some kenisis (cable) seated rows! There’s many ways to skin a cat 🐈... to build some good quality muscle... you are allowed to go lighter with the weight... and slow the tempo down. The advantages are that you have a better chance of actually doing the move with good technique. This will help you to avoid injury as-well as stimulating the muscles optimally. By all means lift heavy... but it is not the be all and end all if you are aiming to pile on the muscle! Happy hump day! My body is absolutely pooped today so I’m taking a rest day from the gym. One thing thats helped so much with this journey is to listen to my body and what it wants/needs. Today I really want to go to the gym to push myself but my body says no - and thats ok. The whole point of this journey I’m on is to treat my body better and be healthier & happier, and if that means skipping a couple days at the gym then thats fine by me 🙃

These two keep me going! They are hilarious, silly, fun and all sorts of ridiculous but more importantly, as my trainers they are also incredibly motivating, knowledgeable, inspiring, patient, enthusiastic and all around encouraging!

I would not have made the amount of progress I have so far without these two. I continuously show up and I put in the work but without support, without people to encourage and push me when I feel like giving up I wouldn’t be where I am right now.

I have come such a long way since joining Title. Finding a sport that I’m passionate about as well as personal training sessions with these two has helped push me past my limits and has made me want to continuously work harder than I even think that I can. If you go to Title Boxing Greenwood and you need an extra push, if you want to learn and grow and push new limits I highly suggest working with Greg or Chris, you may regret it during your session while you feel like dying but believe me you will make so much progress!

are you recovering properly? ideally, everyone should be warming up before every lift and stretching and foam rolling after every. single. lift. but a lot of us either rush through or skip all together, myself included sometimes

it only took me about 20-30 minutes and my muscles are v happy 🤗

✖️5 minutes bike to warm up the muscles
✖️spidermans to down dog
✖️deep lateral lunges
✖️inchworm to hip opener stretch
✖️and the last two clips are sped up 2x to show how I foam roll! on spots that are super sore, I roll them a bit then sit on the roller on the spot for a few seconds and then continue to roll again - it kills but in the end everything feels better!

5 EXERCISES FOR PADDLERS

Been getting some requests for more content around training for paddlers, so let’s start off with these movements
-
1. MOTORCYCLE ROW: can be performed with a cable system or resistance bands attached to a support beam. Emphasize pulling with the elbows, keeping tension out of traps, and making sure you have you legs activated particularly the posterior chain

2. ALT DB BENCH PRESS: Chest up and shoulders back. By alternating, you work shoulder and core stability

3. HIP THRUSTS: not only builds a Kū booty but all develops stronger glutes which will help with bracing your legs against the walls of the canoe. Keep your knees out and flex the glutes at the top of the movement while keeping your pelvis neutral

4. AB ROLLOUT: trains anti-extensions of the pillar, so not only is it strengthening the abs but also your lower back as well. It’s important to have your body stay rigid and extend out far enough until the hips go down

5. PALLOFF VARIATIONS: this is an anti-rotation exercise. Paddling is a repetitive sport, which means you must counter the movements in order to reduce the risk of injury. NOTE: During the half knee variation, make sure the glue of the down knee is activated - you’ll feel a slight stretch in the hip flexor which we could all use
