‘Good food is medicine’
The breakkies in Australie were lovely, but here in Bali it’s also heaven, can’t make desicion where to go all the time!
UGH, you guys. I have been so MIA and want to explain why. I have been dealing with this cold for literally 4 WEEKS. It finally got so bad last week that I ruptured my ear drum & finally had to see a doctor😭. You’ll be happy to know, I am on my way to recovery! My sinuses are clear and my ear is slowly getting better.
After not working out for 2 whole weeks, I had my first workout today. I’m not going to lie, I felt horrible about it. I felt really weak and couldn’t lift what I normally lift. It was a little discouraging to be honest. I lost so much muscle mass, it’s crazy how fast your muscles deteriorate when you’re not feeding them properly and not working out. I felt really small and I was not happy with myself in the last few weeks. I pushed through the workout and finished it, I felt so much better after I had it done. I know that life happens and that it’s okay to take breaks, but it’s definitely tough not to be so hard on yourself.
I know for a fact that it won’t take me long to get back to where I was. Muscle memory is a crazy thing & the weight will come back as long as I’m consistent!
So here’s the game plan:
1) Get back into a regular workout routine.
2) Eat as healthy as I can until I head home for Christmas.
3) Remember that it’s gonna take some time to get back to where I was and that that’s okay.
4) I GOT THIS.
Remember that these things happen, breaks are okay, and you can always get going again. Loss of muscle is completely normal and it will come back. Keep your head up and GET BACK IN THERE👍🏼 PS: here’s a photo of me today trying desperately to hold onto my abs.
