CHEST TRAINING 101

The main muscle of your chest is your pec major which consists of your clavicular head and sternal head
  #
The main function of the pec major is horizontal shoulder adduction and shoulder flexion. It’s vital we understand this to further our training and how we develop our chest

First we have a barbell bench press. A study by Akagi et al in 2014 showed a direct correlation between 1rm max bench weight and pec size. Basically, a bigger bench = a bigger chest

Next up, we have an incline dumbbell press. Dumbbell so we can mix it up from barbell and incline so we can stimulate those upper fibres of the pec. A 45 degree angle would be optimal to use for an incline press
  #
Finally, a seated cable flye. A cable flye will allow you to challenge the pec into it’s fully shortened range that you wouldn’t get from either of the previous movements which have the greatest resistance profile in it’s lengthened range. Performing it seated allows for greater stability, meaning more force will be produced

Tricep work won’t you any harm, nor will shoulder work! I wouldn’t recommend a chest day on it’s own as training frequency plays a big role in muscle development! Also, there’s no need to go mad on the amount of exercises you do! Keep it short and sweet with sufficient volume and you’ll be set

Dopo aver impostato i tuoi piccoli obbiettivi quotidiani passa a quello più concreti e faticosi. Affidati a una persona di cui ti fidi e che ti inspira. Trova una persona che i fa venire voglia di migliorarti e che ti può guidare nel tuo percorso di crescita personale. È importante infatti che la persona stia al tuo fianco e ti incoraggi sempre a fare di più e a non mollare mai. C saranno alti e bassi ma tu dovrai sempre stringere i denti ed andare avanti. È importante in questo punto avere un PROGRAMMA di allenamento che ti piaccia e che ti stimoli. L’allenamento deve essere fatto su misura per te, come fosse un vestito, e deve soddisfare là tue esigenze. Oltre a questo ovviamente deve essere progressivo, senza progressione non ci sono risultati, e senza risultati la tua motivazione andrà scemando. L’alimentazione sarà anch’essa un piacere per te, è per questo che io non credo nelle DIETE! Dove c’è privazione non c’è durata, nessun essere umano può privarsi di qualcosa per sempre. La tua alimentazione deve essere nutriente, divertente e gustosa!

Even though my legs are shaking and I saw stars 🙃Everything has been topsy-turvy but with out the tougher times in life you’d never appreciate how amazing the good times are...
