A busy day at the (home) office so I had to spread my workouts out into convenient breaks. I did actually spend 30 minutes on my exercise bike mid-call but peddling legs help me think!
Then it was a slightly sluggish threshold run at the end of the day!
One thing is for sure, if I workout I am more productive and much happier!

getting lots of questions how i’m staying relatively lean while bulking 🤔🤔 answer: weekly hiit workouts!!! i don’t do standard machine cardio, instead i look for ways to increase my heart rate& engage my muscles with workouts just like this!!! Spinach has twice as much protein, iron, potassium and vitamins as any other leafy veggies! Spinach also contains more fiber which is important for me. However, this does not mean lettuce does not have any nutritional benefits because it does! For me, it’s become a preference for sure. 🍃🌱

Earlier this week I announced I was no longer going to be a part of these wannabe workouts you see on Instagram. I got caught up in trying to land on the explore page that I would film and post workouts I wasn’t even really doing.
To be completely honest, there’s too much BS on the internet and I no longer want to be a part of that. I want to show you what REAL workouts look like and what exercises you SHOULD be doing in order to actually change your body.
Plyos, “fat burning” workouts, crazy Smith machine alternatives, etc. will never give you the same benefits as the BASICS and putting in HARD work.
90% of people in commercial gyms half ass their workouts and then complain that their body isn’t changing. So get ready for some ugly ass faces from me that are a result of PUSHING myself during my workouts. Y’all can see me smiling in my lifestyle posts but the gym is a place to grind and work hard, not where you jump around like a lunatic wearing gym shark. (That’s the tea 🍵)
So here are my working sets of hip thrusts. Not all reps look pretty but this is me pushing myself to MY limit. Everyone’s limit is different and everyone will lift different weight. The weight itself doesn’t matter. Focus on being intense and intentional with your movements and put 👏🏻 in 👏🏻 work 👏🏻

If you’ve seen my stories recently you know I’ve been a little all over the place with the gym and my diet due to my anxiety getting the better of me! 🙈
However I don’t fight it, I waited it out and did what I had to do to get me through the day even if that meant binge eating at 9pm to keep happy for 0.5 seconds!
Today was the first day back at the gym after 7 days. It’s incredible how you can walk in with one mindset and then leave with another. I walked in with the mindset of:
“I have no motivation, I don’t want to do this, I don’t want to be here”
and then walked out with:
“I’m so ready for my next workout, can’t wait to get back on track... I LOVE EXERCISE 😂”
This is why it’s so important just to give yourself that push for your own mental sake because I’m
now sat here patting myself on the back saying “well done heidi, you needed that”.
Hope everyone is having a lovely Thursday and I swear one day my gravestone is gonna say “death by split squats” 😂 because they honestly kill me!
