So, I’ve been a bit MIA.
I haven’t been to the gym in 3 weeks-ish. I got really ill, had a cold that just won’t shift, then me and my boyfriend had a really bad fight so this last weekend I’ve just been so stressed and upset that I’ve had no energy.
I’m usually one to shy away from talking about my mental health, but I went back to a pretty dark place this last week and did things I’m not proud of.
I’m trying to work through it again; I know that the gym helped me with my mental health but I’ve recently had no motivation for anything, let alone the gym. I’m going to the doctors again today to see what can be done to help me.
Hoping to get myself to the gym today, preferably before my doctors appointment. I want to get myself back into a habit again, going to restart the get shreddy guide and hopefully keep gaining more confidence in myself and my body

I’ve always been a sucker for letting people back in my life who aren’t good for me. Going back to the wrong people just for a feeling of fulfilment. I now see I was so unhappy with myself that I was looking for someone else to love me as I wasn’t loving myself. I let bad people in in hope they could make me feel accepted and wanted, when really it was me who needed to love myself first. I’ve taken pretty much a year out from dating to work on myself, and it’s been the best thing I’ve ever done. I’ve put time into changing the things I wasn’t happy with, my weight being one of them, and learnt a lot about self love. I no longer need acceptance from a man, I accept myself. I won’t step backwards with people now, only forward. I won’t spend hours trailing through dating sites looking for someone to love me, I won’t try to change myself into what they want me to be. It’s my time now to keep loving myself and the next guy I let in will be a bloody lucky guy as I’m pretty awesome ❤️☺️ One of my biggest motivations last year came from a guy I went on a date with messaging me after to tell me how over weight I was. This guy was an asshole, but he’s an asshole who changed my life. I took what he said and although it hurt, I proved to him exactly how strong I am and what I can accomplish. Right now I couldn’t be more single and I’m okay with that, it’s gonna have to take a pretty special guy to change it and I won’t ever let myself settle for less again. Self love is the most important lesson this years taught me ❤️

Sometimes we put too much enphasis on physical health and tend to neglected mental health.
I'm currently trying to focus on some of my mental health issues and talking about it with no shame. We sometimes isolate ourselves and end up feeling like we can't overcome because we feel like we are the only one dealing with Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Mood swings and so on.
One of the ways of dealing with our worries, insecurities and anxiety is just by talking to someone close to you. We are all in this together. #holistichealth

De Hack Squat is een oefening die vooral is gericht op het trainen van de quadriceps (spieren aan de voorkant van je bovenbenen). Ga je met je voeten ver naar voren staan dan helpen de bilspieren steeds meer mee in het uitvoeren van de beweging.
Bij de Barbell hack squat heb je een stang met gewichten nodig. Ga staan met je voeten op schouderbreedte van elkaar. De stang houd je bij deze oefening met gestrekte armen achter je lichaam vast ter hoogte van je billen. Houd je lichaam onder spanning en je rug goed recht in de beginpositie, buig je knieën en laat je billen achterwaarts komen zodat je zakt. Als je knieën een hoek van 90 graden maken en de barbell bijna de grond aanraakt keer je de beweging om en zet je krachtig af via je hielen tot je weer rechtop staat. .
Deze oefening is niet geschikt voor mensen met een zwakke onderrug. Ter ondersteuning kan je een brede riem rond je onderrug plaatsen.
Met deze oefening train je ook je bilspieren.
