My journey has been much more than physical. My life has changed so much. At one point I had no confidence. I was depressed. I was always criticized by my parents. I grew up in an abusive home. I was in a very dark place once. So dark that I thought I was never going to see light. Suicidal thoughts constantly ran through my mind. I was fighting demons within me. I was tired of the comments about the way I looked or the comments about my weight. Growing up with parents who criticized you over everything became too much for me. I tried so hard to be accepted but it felt like it was never enough. .

As I'm approaching 30 in 3 days, I want to share with you of where I am at today. Today I know I'm ENOUGH! Today I know I'm BEAUTIFUL! Today I share you a picture of someone who have fought hard to be where she's at and she's damn proud of who she is. Those deomns try to get to me, but the fire in my soul doesn't allow it. It's ok to fall and loose that spark sometimes, but make sure when you rise, you rise with the whole damn fire 🔥You are going to encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. Sometimes it's necessary to be faced with those defeats, that way you can see who you are and what you can rise from.

I'm going to end this with something I hope you know, if not, please listen. Know you are worthy! Love yourself and take care of yourself. Your story, your feelings matter!! YOU MATTER! Never feel like being you is a burden. NEVER apologize for being you! If you water yourself down for others, you lose the joy of being YOU. My road to self love has not been easy but damn it feels good to be on this path Don't be afraid to ask for help. Don't be afraid to talk and share. Sharing your story, that's bravery. Allow yourself to heal because you deserve it ❤

One of my favorite stretches on leg day 🧡

So I'm going to let you all in on a little secret. Before I got pregnant with Kodiak, I was 215lbs 🙈 This was the biggest I had ever been, topping the 214lbs I was the day I had Luna (I went to 180lbs within the first month) I had gotten off of hormonal birth control that had played a HUGE part in my weight gain, and also I came to find out my thyroid wasn't working to the best of it's ability, which put me on a synthetic thyroid medication called levothyroxine. I had no idea how much I had gained, because I wasn't weighing myself, and that first appointment (5 weeks pregnant) I was SHOCKED. I topped my pregnancy off at 234lbs. A number I was okay with. And up until Kodiak was 6 months old, I was 218lbs. I just couldn't shake the rest off. Finally things seemed better, I eliminated certain foods and healed my thyroid! I'm now down to 197lbs and have gone from a size 16/xl to a size 12/L. For reference, Kodiak is 9 months old now. I know women are often afraid of spitting out the numbers, and it's scary sometimes, because you see most women in the 150's, but I'm not ashamed of my numbers anymore. Because they are just numbers that don't define me. The reason I started this journey was because I was sick of being uncomfortable, I was sick of not wanting to be in pictures with my kids anymore. I was sick of watching my weight go up and just being mad at myself. So here is to a healthier lifestyle filled with self love, a little bit of pizza and cardio 😏

Are you a fight or flight person? My natural instinct is fight! It always has been. If you jump out and scare me, look out because an automatic punch is coming👊🏻 haa. I tend to rush into a situation before thinking and deal with the consequences later. It always astounds me when you see the ones who are videoing those in need instead of jumping in to do whatever they can to help. Not that they are wrong, it’s just not my natural instinct. And it’s a strength and times and a weakness at others. I’ve had to learn to navigate this. BUT, I do believe there are moments we all are called to fight no matter what and you have it in you! I love to empower women in their fight - righteous fights. The Bible in Psalm 68:11 calls us warring women. In Psalm 144:1 it says, He trains our hands for war and fingers for battle! This is why when the enemy comes in like a flood we don’t run!!!! We lift our voices and we say, “NO MORE!” Our voices matter and He uses them to govern the earth. So when you want to run- stand your ground. Turn around and war! He has made our hands for battle and made our arms to bend bows of bronze (Psalm 18:34). Your voice is powerful and moves angels and demons. No more running! FIGHT. YOU WERE MADE TO WIN! He is with you! -

I’m exhausted, I’m physically drained. Working 12 hour shifts and then going to the gym is a love hate relationship. Gym time is my time, time to clear my head and focus on myself, but then again i would love to be lazy and be in bed. My night still isn’t over. #fitnessjourney #iam1stphorm

Fasted from 6:45 am to 12 pm

Half Decaf and half regular ice coffee at 7:15am with dry creamer and no sweetener.

9:30 am Walked 15 min on my first work break around the parking lot.

10:00 to 12:00 I drank 4 cups of water

12:00 walked 15 min through parking lot. 
Ate one low fat Greek yogurt and another half and half coffee. 
1:00 to 2:30 I drank 4 cups of water

2:30 I walked on my 15 min break.

3:00 to 5:30 I drank one cup of water.

5:30 to 6:15 I did a cardio kickboxing class.

6:15 to 6:30 • 3 sets of 15 decline crunches • 3 sets of 15 decline AB twists with 25 lbs • 3 sets of 20 leg raises • 3 sets of 15 standing side bends with 45 lbs

7:00 to 7:30 I ate 8 oz of skinless boneless bbq chicken and one cup of steamed broccoli. Two cups of water.

8:00 to 9:15 • 4 sets of 12 reps at 25 lbs flat bench dumbbell flies/ 12 reps of flat Smith machine bench press at 185 lbs • 4 sets of 8 reps incline dumbbell press at 40lbs • 4 sets of seated machine flies at 105lbs, 135lbs, 140lbs and 145lbs • 4 sets of seated matching chest press at 130 lbs

10:00 to 11:15 two cups of water.

Arm and core workout today before hitting Krav Maga combat / striking class! I’ve been putting a lot of time and effort in to the training and I’m honestly seeing the results I want.. staying dedicated to my diet and constantly meal prepping has abled to me to achieve my fitness goals and keep pushing my self toward new ones!💪🏼💪🏼👊🏼 I’ve upped my daily calories by 800 calories a day and I’m still only 11% body fat👌🏼💪🏼.. 👯‍♀️ GO WITH A WITH A FRIEND.
Feeling like someone else is counting on you to attend will make it less likely you’ll skip the session and you can help push each other through the workout while reaching those PB’s .

📔 MAKE A PLAN.
Chest on Monday, Kickboxing Tuesday and Legs on Wednesday? Whatever it may be, write it down and lock it in for the week! Don’t forget that rest days are important too.

🏋🏻‍♀️ VISUALIZE SUCCESS.
Imagining what it would look and feel like to achieve a goal or to complete an exercise. How you’d feel if you went to the gym and how it would bring you one step closer to your goals!

⛰ DON’T OVER-PROMISE.
Having goals is important but make sure you are realistic at the same time. Otherwise you may be setting yourself up for disappointment. Make sure the bar is reachable! even if it means aiming for just 15 minutes on a bike each day, walking to work or go to the gym 3 times this week instead of only once.. Don’t forget to celebrate the smaller milestones along the way!

Find things that work for YOU! Maybe it’s Zumba? Swimming? Powerlifting? Yoga? Bodybuilding? Or simply walking around the lake? The options are endless so don’t ever force yourself to do something you don’t enjoy because it won’t last.

Last year my focus was power, hitting my goal of Dead Lifting 3x my body weight at 535 lbs. 
The last 5 weeks the focus has been high volume, hypertrophy, muscle development, sculpting, and symmetry. 
It was fun to do some hypertrophy Dead Lifts for 5x10 with 1:00 breaks. Followed by 6 more leg exercises. Brutal! Felt light, huge pump, but I can’t go too heavy with 8% body fat so I can feel great for the show!
