A challenging and fun HIIT workout for ya that gets your cardio sky high AND works those abs🔥😋
I love doing HIIT outside when it’s nice out cause my pups keep me company (as well as get in the way sometimes😅)
Finding little ways to make your workouts more enjoyable can really make it easier to stick with it! (Listening to music, working out with a friend, being outdoors, etc.) OKAY, complete as many rounds as you can in 10-15 minutes (up to you!) Move at a pace that challenges you!
1️⃣(5 reps) 10 high knees, one tuck jump. (If this is too difficult, leave out the tuck jump and just do 50 high knees or high knee marches.)
2️⃣(10 reps per side) Plank knee in into high back kick
3️⃣(10 reps) Plank jack burpees
4️⃣(10 reps per side) Seated elbow to knee crunches
5️⃣(10 reps) In and out plank hops (one rep = one in hop and one out hop)

I’ve been here 2 weeks already (time flies 😣) and I have been to the gym in total 4 times 😬 if that doesn’t sound *toooo* bad, on top of lack of working out I spent a week eating fast food... 🍫🍰🧁🍔🍟🥞- BUT! This week I decided to go back to intermittent fasting (11-7 meal time) because I felt so bloated and tired all the time and already I feel so much better. This timing works great around my work hours and I’ve done some good shopping to make my meals healthier. 🥗🥥🥒🥬🥝🍇- OVERALL! it feels sooo good to be here ☀️so excited for this new chapter and ready to tackle new challenges !! Today I completed my first Half Marathon (21.097 Km) with a Personal Record of 2:20:14 🤘🏻(2 Hours and 20 mins approx.)
I had set a target of 2:10:00.But since I was busy taking photos of the iconic Bandra Worli Sealink (I may have lost/donated some time 😅🤣). No problem it was an enjoyment+decent run✌🏻.I will beat my best in the next Half Marathon which I will run soon.😎🏃Training with @bombayrunning in the last few weeks helped me immensely and I would like to thank them 👍🏻.I motivated all the Bombay Runners(@mumbairunners) who came across me🙂.All in all it was a strong debut run for me 🏃💪🏻.(Swipe to see other pictures📸📷) .

Today I completed my first Half Marathon (21.097 Km) with a Personal Record of 2:20:14 🤘🏻(2 Hours and 20 mins approx.) I had set a target of 2:10:00.But since I was busy taking photos of the iconic Bandra Worli Sealink (I may have lost/donated some time 😅🤣). Meal prep is lot easier when you don't over-complicate things 🙅‍♂️ Stressing out over new recipes every week used to make things harder than they needed to be 🤔

Nowadays, it's a simple checklist: ✔️ Chicken
✔️ Veggies
✔️ Rice/lentils

That's it! ➡️ Switch up spices if you need some variety
➡️ Get steamable veggies that you can pop in the microwave
➡️ Rotate rice if needed (white, brown, Jasmine, etc)

Happy Sunday everyoneee 🥰 After a busy weekend, I love to end my Sunday’s preparing for the week ahead and the chill in the evening’s. I did a big food shop earlier so meal prepping for the week is about to go down!

We’re half way through January and as part of @mioskincare #MyMonthOfMio campaign, I want to share what I do to prioritise self-care and well-being all year round 🤗 I try and make sure I schedule time to do these things as I know it will benefit all aspects of my life. My top priorities would be getting to the gym/ workout classes at least 4-5 times a week, making sure my diet is balanced by meal prepping and not eating loads of processed foods/ eating out too much, making time to journal, meditate for at least 5 minutes most mornings, and finally getting enough sleep 💤

Savage Sunday with my twin @doctorluce 🔥 a 45 min circuit and 45 min @turfgames drills. It was a bit naughty as I should’ve given myself some rest after my 90 min run yesterday but I’ve got a good rehab day coming up... 🤫

Here’s what we did for part 2 this morning...
10 min AMRAP
6x deadlifts @ 70kg
6x d ball over shoulders @ 30kg
3 chin ups

3-5 rounds
1 min dead hang
1 min assault bike
5 synchro burpees

10 min EMOM
Odd: 10 cal ski
Even: 10 barbell thrusters @ 25kg

Finish off with a cronut 🍩

For day 19 of #gymshark66 (yesterday), @samantha.maclean.121 and I took a trip down to Toronto (that was a fun drive with all the snow 😂❄️) and got our dexa scans done!
•
I am so happy I got one done and highly recommend it to anyone ready to take their fitness to the next level. It is SUPER informative and really gave me a base for UNDERSTANDING what is going on inside my body. As well as, gives a great starting point for YOUR calories/macros based on your actual RMR (testing metabolic rate). See below for more details of my results 🙌🏼

According to the woman who did our dexa scans and went through our reports with us (which mind you is SEVERAL pages of information), I fall within the healthy range in everything, and at this point any changes I make are GOAL focused. Specifically, she said there are no changes to be done because of health concerns (so that was exciting to find out). My personal goals right now for the next 3 months are to drop fat percentage some more and maintain/increase muscle mass. Once I get to a fat percentage I’m content with I will go back to maintenance calories for a while to build more muscle 🤗
•
Regarding the second picture (overview of my scan): My fat is evenly distributed across my body (with a slight bit more in my hip/thigh/butt region - but this is what we want as a woman. Less in the abdomen and more in the lower body). However, my numbers are so close together (waist VS hip) that she suggested it is indicative of successful body recomposition (that is something I have really been working on in the last 3 years of my journey, so really cool to see I was successful with that).
•
According to the scan, I have no muscle imbalances, and my bone density is in the 97th percentile for me age (which is amazing - thanks to lifting weights). These numbers aren’t pictured here though. •
All in all, I am super happy with where I am at right now, and excited to watch the kinds of changes I can make, externally & internally. I will be having a follow up dexa scan in 3 months to track my changes and progress towards my goals! Keep your eyes peeled🤪👀
