Bench has been feeling alright. Definitely taking a hit after my squatting. Did 3x1@280LBS and then 5x3@260LBS. Need to work on leg drive and flaring my elbows at the top of the movement. Anyways, fun workout and good progress.

Lately, I haven't posted much. I've been on the journey of trying to build muscle and to say I'm struggling would be an understatement. I have done an incredible amount of research, I've been trying different methods, I've created my own methods based off of things I liked from others, common practices that seem to be yielding results and just pure gut feeling on what I think will work for me or I believe in.

That all said, I am reminded of the saying that got me through a lot of my weight loss journey going from 410 lbs to where I am today. "Just because you're struggling, doesn't mean you're failing."
Slowly but surely I am seeing results... lean muscle building is a LONG game! I got caught up in Instagram models and their stories about how in 8 weeks they went from cat to lion, bunny to beast, pony to stallion! I just forgot about the realism in all this. I have a career, I have a family, I have other priorities on top of this and it can't be my life. I can't spend 8 hours in the gym and I don't have the money to buy 500$ worth of supplements every month. .

I'm real. I went from 410 lbs to 213 lbs before I started trying to gain muscle. Since I've started muscle gaining journey I've gone from 213 lbs to 220 lbs and my waist is still the same!!! Long story short here, get out of your head... I got in mine and forgot to see the results that matter... I couldn't see the gains I was making and just because I don't look like Dwayne Johnson overnight, which is unrealistic to start with... It doesn't mean I'm not making headway! Keep at er friends! I'm in your corner and I'm proud of you!

If you didn't know, my dad passed away 8 years ago (at the end of March) .

One of my biggest motivators when I was thinking about becoming a coach was getting the opportunity to travel the world!⁣

I never got to do much of it growing up because my family couldn’t afford to go further than neighboring states, let alone anywhere tropical or all-inclusive🌴 I actually got pretty jealous of my friends who got to go down to Bermuda or the Bahamas with their families, and it made me wonder if I’d ever get to experience such luxury.⁣

I never imagined I’d be part of a movement like this one. I’m now surrounded by ambitious go-getters who are truly COMMITTED to improving other people’s lives. Hell, I never thought I’d see the day where I became the person who actually worked out while on vacation because of how little motivation I used to possess. Now it’s my job, and while I’m on this vacay, I’m getting to train with the best of the best in the wellness industry!⁣

Honestly, it feels like a “pinch me” moment every time I get invited to these, but then I have to remember, I took a leap of faith on a little idea in my heart to start coaching, and I worked hard, like really really hard, and this hope became my reality, and it’s only just getting started. ⁣

One of my biggest motivators when I was thinking about becoming a coach was getting the opportunity to travel the world!⁣ ⁣ I never got to do much of it growing up because my family couldn’t afford to go further than neighboring states, let alone anywhere tropical or all-inclusive🌴 I actually got pretty jealous of my friends who got to go down to Bermuda or the Bahamas with their families, and it made me wonder if I’d ever get to experience such luxury.⁣ ⁣ Clearly that thought never left my head.
