Girl Squad is on point 👌🏻
Yesterday I spent the day at the flourish work shop run by my beauty @nikiperryyoga and the incredible sam @marthasyard in the dream space that is the cowshed. Not only did we flow but we looked at the most amazing ways in which we can reduce our stress levels with great techniques to pop in our tool bags. So many of which I will carry with me from now on.
I got to happily feed all these wonderful humans with my #eattherainbow Buddha bowls and faced a fear of public speaking! Sam and Niki both shared amazing words with me this week about self belief. After years of self sabotage mentally I some times slip back into that head space when the pressure is on! A bit of "Your Not good enough toni" has hopefully been flipped around to "well done toni, you can do it". Being kind to yourself, in the way we do so freely to others is so important. Self love warriors all the way.

It was great to hear a fact today from Sam on how we would help our gut bacteria by eating 40 different varieties of fruit and veg in a week! Sounds tricky I know but just go for it! Buy that veg you've never brought and create something. Doesn't need to be fancy, but it's such fun!

“Opportunity comes once" I don’t believe this at all! What if it show’s up and your whole mind, body and soul aren’t ready for it, not like I’m not ready to jump out of the plane but it’s a tandem jump so here I come! I mean like I lack the maturity, mental stability, emotional intelligence and all that’s obviously essential to making this opportunity work, what do I do, take it and set myself up for failure God no! It’s okay to let some opportunities pass by. For as long as we’re talking opportunity, I’m all for @richardbranson perspective; opportunities are like buses, you miss this one, you can catch the next one. Besides, we pretty much play a big role in creating our own luck!
They say things change, people change, feelings change, and circumstances change but as long as your heart is true and pure it’ll stay the same. I’ve learned not everyone has the same heart as mine and that’s why I’ll protect myself at all cost. What does your grocery list look like
Personally, i find balance is the key to successful nutrition plan. We can find any diet plan, trend, or fad easily on the internet nowadays. Be it Keto, Mediterranean, Dash, IIFYM, Low Carb, or you name it, everything works to certain extent. However, I believe that eating well isn’t about perfection. Some days, you’re going to eat too much. Some days, you’re going to eat too little. And some days, you’re going to have a piece of cake. And that’s okay, there is room for every type of food in a balanced diet.
I get most of my grocery list from @costco and I like to keep them simple and easy to prepare. I’ll make sure I get enough protein source from meat/eggs and as shown on the picture, i got them from the minced turkey and cornish hen. In addition, I will get some clean carb source from green veggies, sweet potatoes, and bananas. For the fat source, i bought some mozzarella cheese and greek yoghurt to supplement a well balanced nutrition. On a side note, i often add 1-2 items on my grocery list as cheat meal to rotate around during the week to keep my mind/tongue/stomach sane, and as shown on the picture, i got a bag of @bibigousa wontons.
An apple a day doesn’t keep the doctor away. A balanced diet, adequate exercise, and grateful heart keep the doctor away.

A teacher I once knew repeatedly told her students, “Everything is a choice.” I always wondered why she said that so emphatically every day. I believed it was true, but it wasn’t a life changing quote to me. At least not until I really spent some time thinking on it and then experienced it as a part of life as I got older. And tonight it hit me hard, as I deal with some junk. Am I making choices that set up good habits and create good character in me It’s so easy to make no choice at all (which is still a choice itself) or go with the easiest option at times. But that doesn’t lead to a fruitful life. And that’s what I want. Is it what you want 🤔 #foodforthought
They say time heals... Does it How many of us have evidence that emotional wounds heal the same way as physical wounds Although depending on the severity of physical wounds medical intervention isn't uncommon. So why do you believe that when you get hurt, you feel that pain and experience the change it brings to your personalities - that you do not need therapeutic intervention. Why do you deprive yourselves the possibility of healing because of the fears you have regarding taking therapy (and believe me you have fears, you might not be aware of them, doesn't mean they dont exist) Why do you want to condition and get your body addicted to feeling pain What is the payoff You do not only make a miserable life for yourself by not choosing to get help but you also negatively impact your family, something they dont deserve. Worst is when you carry your pain as a parent. You deprive your child of so much - so much that would lack for him/her and while they grow up to be adults the pass the same on to their children hence the viscous cycle continues. Remember your pain isn't your badge of bravery... Your healing is. It doesn't take much to get get wounded- these things just happen but it takes a lot to heal!
