Cravings can be triggered by just about anything...You may see an advertisement of your favorite burger or hear someone mention ice cream, and it produces an image in your mind...You replay that image over and over again until you have to get in your car and go get that thing that you’re craving! When a picture gets people asking about a restaurant we know we’re doing SOMETHING right !!! @_nanakwartemah_

Today I baked this Banana Pie 🥧 , a family recipe. I don’t remember the first time I ate this pie because it was always part of my life. Since I was a young kid, my grandmother, my mother and my aunts used to bake this pie. Anytime we had a family get together for an afternoon coffee/tea, someone would bake this banana pie and we would eat it together, all sat around the table, speaking out loud, laughing and enjoying this sweet deliciousness with a good cup of coffee with milk. 💛 This pie brings me sweet happy memories and I am now baking this pie for my family, so my kids can build their food memories. 👨👩👧👦
📷 I thought this pie would be perfect to photograph for today’s theme from the Instagram Food Photography Challenge #eatcaptureshare from @thelittleplantation, “Family Affair, Three’s company”. The one we eat in group and enjoy happily together. A good cup of coffee or tea are also welcome.

I guess it’s high time for me to do a formal introduction here on IG! I’m Meagan, I’m the person behind the camera at Nutmeg. I run the business with my husband - slash - assistant Aaron. We have a cute little studio in Largo (images in my saved story!) where we work out of most days. Except when we get the privilege to work side by side with amazing chefs on location! .
When we’re not working, we’re usually spending all our spare time getting the energy out of our pup! 🐶 he’s a hound/herder mix and I’ve never met a dog quite like him! @the_wild_blue_yonder
Any time we have left is split between being super lazy at home or planning our next great adventure! 🏔 🏃♀️ 🚣♀️ ✈️ .
Back to nutmeg for a sec, I’m also really excited because I’m launching my new website next week! New logo and plenty of new work!! I’ll share it here soon!! ❤️
. Anywho, that’s about it! Thanks so much for all the love and support here on IG!! .

This Dessert takes me right back to the sunny shores of Thailand! / If you’re craving Mango Sticky Rice Pudding and, like me, you’re watching your Carbs/Sugars, then I’ve got just the thing for you! /
In a NutriBullet or Blender, blitz up:
1 x ripe peeled & chopped Mango
Half a can of Coconut Milk*
*add less or more depending on the amount of mango. The mixture must not be runny, needs to be more like a mousse
*this dessert is naturally sweet from the Mango. If you would like it to be sweeter you can add a bit of your preferred sweetener to taste.
After blending, mix 5 teaspoons of Chia Seeds in with the blended Mango Mixture. Spoon into serving bowls and refrigerate for at least 3-5 hours or until set /

Zucchini WAFFLES😋😋 WOW this was so simple and delicious to make. Was going to make sweet potato waffles but always wanted to try zucchini waffles so here is what I used: 1 zucchini shredded, 1/2 white onion shredded, 1 egg, pepper, & parmesan cheese🧀. Literally just mix everything together & add to your heated waffle iron😋

Guys, I do not like posting photos of myself. I am much more comfortable behind the scenes. But I figured it was about time I introduced myself anyway. ⠀
I started Screw It in 2015 because I loved food and wine and I needed a creative outlet. I posted off and on whenever I had time and didn’t take it too seriously.⠀
But in late 2017 my friend and I decided to start a wine education business, @crushitwinesb here in Santa Barbara. In conjunction with that a blog like mine made a lot of sense. So I started taking it more seriously.⠀
I am not a trained chef or a trained photographer. But I love them both so I have spent a lot of time teaching myself. I have spent the past 7+ years working in the wine industry. And I have my level one Somm. So the wine stuff comes a little easier. But I still learn and seek out new things about wine everyday.
Just playing around with my awesome new macros lens. The only food I had to shoot where these #girlscoutcookies but I think they turned out pretty well! Please follow my biz profile @ryanbrowncatering for pictures of food I actually serve to our clients!

Hé Ho! Winnipeg!!! Festival is on in full swing! Last night was the opening day! It is on from now until the 24th. It is the 50th anniversary of the festival and they have not disappointed with the amazing festivities. The usuals like the outdoor ice bar, ice sculptures, beaver tails and live music are all there. This year there is an incredible mix of talented musicians. The have a igloo tent that hosts a silent disco! Last night they had a 90s party. And so many more exciting events. My favourite of course is the eating aspect. I feasted on Tortiere, pea soup, poutine, bear paws, maple sugar pie and maple sugar on a stick. Does it get any better than that Get out there and enjoy the fun while you can! This is truly one of my favourite Winnipeg winter events. The people, the music, the atmosphere... it is truly a special and welcoming place that everyone should experience!! ‼️ Thank you @tourismwinnipeg for hosting me last night and @fdvoyageur for the amazing tour!!
