Chicken risotto. I really tried to love this but the flavours were too overwhelming for my liking. The chicken was cooked nicely - I always love when there's a little crust on the outside. The risotto was nice as well - perfectly al dante but I think it should have bit a tad thicker. What I did not enjoy is the demi glace as I found it way too salty. I would order this again but i would make sure to ask for no or very little demi glace and no pickled onions (I didn't find that the tang complemented the dish at all).

Soba for lunch today at 土家 Tsuchiya In Higashi-Murayama( Tablelog 4.13) This is a Soba specialist resturant in a very old charming squeaky wooden house run by a cheerful husband / cook and wife.
Serves Soba Kaiseki course and every dish has elements of Soba.
The Daikon used is especially spicy too.
Soba was full of texture( 9 parts Soba and 1 part flour)
It’s deliciously unique and a must try😋👍 #brianchowtokyo
there is a whole lotta baking & kitchen prep going on in this house this week! on tonight's roster: baking shortbread, making that apple pie with streusel topping, & whipping up a couple batches of pie dough
Mince meat tarts.
It was the last day the #NAIT Retail Meat Shop was open until January, so I swung by to stock up on a few things and stopped in to pick up some mince meat pies in the shop next door 🥧🌰🍒🍎 ❤
-- had a craving for brownies today, so I answered that call with a bit of Valrhona cocoa powder topped with cacao barry feulletine for some extra crunch & texture!🎉 😭
