Three Genuine vintage French large glass milk storage bottle . All three bottles are in great condition with no chips or cracks. All three bottles were recently purchased from a dairy farm in Northern France . Two of the bottles still have their original tops in place , one being a solid glass top that would of initially been used when boiling the milk. Apparently when placed directly into the pan with the boiling milk it won’t boil over. The bottles would look great either in use or on display.
Measurements: all three bottles are 30cm high.
The bottles can be viewed and purchased from The Vintage French House Cockermouth, down old kings arms lane , off the main rd .

☀️Hurrah for the sunshine!!☀️ There are days like these when even my lack of sporting finesse is tempted into action by the French national pastime of getting on a bike and enjoying the glorious countryside! The surrounding bocage is so beautiful throughout the seasons: winter wheat 🌾 amongst the hedgerows, nodding sunflowers 🌻 in the summer, winding amidst the 6000 hectares of Mervent forest and sleepy medieval villages. It’s no surprise that the @letourdefrance passed through this beautiful region. The energy was incredible!
Thanks to @syldicy for my cute road bike 🚴🏼♀️ that she found in a brocante. I’ve never done up a bike before but I love taking things apart and seeing how they work. Who knows Maybe I’ll catch the cycling bug...or at least I’ve got my transport and French uniform sorted to pick up the morning baguettes 🇫🇷🥖 Not quite earned the Lycra just yet! 😂
My view as I go up and down the stairs. Cloudy and cold today, but an evening fire in the wood stove brings the winter day to a cozy close.
When we first found our cottage, that window was boarded up and no glass. It was a year before we could get glass as there was so much to do in our crumbling cottage.
The water damage on that wall was the least of issues. This corner repurposed our tree that fell in a storm; completely rebuilt fireplace, found barnwood, beam that was installed to support the second floor while the entire house was lifted, my French drape, found at an Italian market, and way more you can’t see...all in this corner.
Between rebuilding the chimney, moving in our wood stove, driving to KS City for barnwood, milling our tree, plaster work, brick work, chimney flue installation, stone work, window glass installed, stripping wallpaper, painting, pulling nails, installing a 22’ beam, scouting out old fire brick, loading the brick, hauling it and storing it..,installing ductwork (on floor below the window),finding the barnwood, loading it, stacking it, treating it, installing it over the beam...there are literally 1000’s of hours of labor just in this one corner.
And I can’t help but wonder at those doubters, so long ago, who questioned the amount of time our house was taking 🤦🏼♀️ I just shrugged my shoulders when questioned. They didn’t get it, and I was too tired to explain.
And I think of the MANY lunches and work breaks my BB and I had sitting on lawn chairs, huddled around a small wood stove, wearing coats, and seeing our own breath as we ate and talked of the day we could actually sit in “real chairs” and have a “real stove” and just enjoy this corner.
Mostly, I remember envisioning what I see now, with debris and construction all about back then.
But I knew.
I was so tired, but I knew in my heart that this day would come. And tonight, we are going to enjoy a real fire, in our real stove, in comfy chairs...because we live here!
All thanks and glory goes to a very patient and loving Lord.

French Country Cottage makeover for this little handmade wooden cabinet. Painted in a custom mix to give it a French inspired sage green, golden brushed hardware, and a natural white wash for the top. I then waxed the whole piece in white liming wax and voila! C’est fini! 💚
I’m excited for my weekend project!!🌿🙌🏻 First of all let me say, I have been forbidden to paint our cabinets🤷🏼♀️😂 But with compromise I can still achieve the lighter brighter look I’m going for. I have decided this backsplash is an eye sore against the granite countertops. Too much pattern going on with hues of gray and purple. So I’m going to white wash it🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🌿 Then if it’s still not bright enough we are going to choose a shade of white for the walls. I love blue and white decor so I’m hoping the blue walls will look better once the white wash is finished.
