If you don’t have to take a minute to collect yourself after your conditioning work.. are you even doing conditioning work?

2x per week I will be finish off my workouts with 10-15min of some type of conditioning training. Either #metabolicconditioning or #hiittraining

The purpose of doing conditioning over general cardio is to tax your entire system & not just burn calories. Recruit & strengthen the different energy systems and build up the lactic acid threshold of different muscle groups

So if you’re one of those that blame time as a factor as to why you can’t get workouts in give interval training, HIIT, & metabolic conditioning a go as you won’t need (or be able to do) very much when paired with proper nutrition

And if your looking to improve overall work capacity & intensity of your already current training programs, same goes for you

I personally pair conditioning work with my core/ab training on Sunday & Wednesday. I’m currently rotating through different workouts

Workout 1, 100m row, 250m row, 500m, 1000m row with a 1:1 work/rest

Workout 2, 10/50 row. 10 seconds max effort followed by 50seconds slow pace. 8-12 rounds

Workout 3, a 12-16minute EMOM using lighter weights and body weight movements. Example of this would be:
4 rounds of
12KB swings
16 (8/side) KB snatch
10push ups/20air squats
45 sec plank

Não por acaso são chamados de "PADRÕES FUNDAMENTAIS DE MOVIMENTO" aqueles movimentos que inicialmente todos precisam aprender quando são apresentados ao CF.

No entanto, eles não são exclusivos para iniciantes, eles devem fazer parte da rotina de todo atleta, respeitando os ciclos de treinamento.
.
Tem se falado muito sobre periodização e controle da carga de treinamento (me incluo nisso), mas e o CONTROLE da TÉCNICA? Como tem sido gerenciado? Os padrões básicos de movimento permanecem "limpos" e adequados mesmo em condições de fadiga?
.
Geralmente não...
.
Jamais esqueça os padrões fundamentais, eles são a base da sua movimentação. Periodicamente revisite a BASE e dê a atenção que ela merece.
.
Ou toda sua periodização e controle refinado de treinamento estará sendo feito em cima de um sistema disfuncional e não terá métrica (agudo/crônico, monotonia, strain) que te salve de lesão.

This is a great posterior chain exercise. Going into a squat, from there drive the hips back into a goodmorning, then stand up straight and finally go back down the way you came. A lot of midline stability work here as well. If you’re going to try this I would say start with super lightweight. This is not a heavy exercise 😆😄

This is a great posterior chain exercise. Going into a squat, from there drive the hips back into a goodmorning, then stand up straight and finally go back down the way you came. A lot of midline stability work here as well. If you’re going to try this I would say start with super lightweight. I was walking on the beach early am after my training and I was having such a hard time in the sand. I realised how I was constantly fighting the sand so much trying to walk faster and there was absolutely no need for that!
Slowed down, stopped fighting it and it was so much easier and peaceful to walk back !! .
It made me think, how much we fight ourselves all the time whether it’s the way we look or our minds work or the way we deal with others at home, work or relationships. I think it’s more of a battle inside us than with the outer source! .
And often I see this a lot while training clients online too as they come to us being unhappy with certain body parts and I totally relate to them coz I grew up with problems like this. Big bum, big thighs, muscular arms, constantly trying to reverse or change the way my body is built for! 
Years later I did two things - 
1. Physically : I train myself to be better and stronger so I’m constantly improving and that feeling of doing something you never thought you could will take beyond what ur body looks like !
2. Mentally - Acceptance .. Of how your body is and meant to develop! 
I am not saying eat shit, get fat and accept tht 😭 I mean stop chasing fairness creams or skinny legs n big boobs if your body is not made fr that or vice versa!!
Stop fighting yourselves, work on mentally and physically being stronger than the appearance !

One of my secret trainer pleasures is making people that "need heavy weight" to feel like they worked out sweat and cry with some bodyweight slider work 😅 .

Evil trainer laugh aside - the reason these are so damn good is you can't cheat!! You cheat - you do an accidental split 🤷‍♀️ .

I ALSO loves these as a tool to help you learn to balance in a lunge. During a reverse lunge with a slider, you have to keep the weight on your front leg (like you're supposed to) and having the other foot on the slider is a great point of balance to give your body an opportunity to learn how it's done. .

Have you tried some nice (controlled!!) slider lunges? 😈
