“ Not the first money artist but the first to educate others on money… as an artist “ 💲This 1874 - $50 legal tender features Ben and Lady Liberty. Unlike today, this was an era where women were placed on money. If you owned just one of these in mint condition today, you’d have one bill worth nearly 6k. This piece represents the freedom that lady liberty stands for, equal rights and the value that time brings #stillprinting
Fabulous day today at Stafford Market. It was the first time in a year going there so wasn’t expecting too much, but how surprised I was. Particularly meeting up with a customer who reads my newsletters and had made special journey to come and see me. You can sign up to my newsletter via my website www.joankennedyartist.co.uk (link at the bottom of the page on the website if you would like me to keep you updated of various events I’ll be attending over the cooing months
Look what just came in the mail, I am so excited. I have been eyeing these prints for 4 years y'all! Aren't they gorgeous
We had a garden wedding with ferns and azaleas everywhere. I've been waiting to hang up pictures in our bedroom until I found something just right. And this is it!
I am super frugal, rarely spending money on frivolous stuff for myself. My husband is working so hard for me to be home with our son, so I'm even more hesitant these days.
Anyway, I made enough money last month working at my side business to buy these beauties. How cool is that! Working a few hours a week, from my phone. As if the blessings of improved health weren't already enough, this one more reason I love my business!

I am currently thinking a lot about how and in what direction I want to continue to explore and experiment with my style. I think it’s important to continuously evaluate what you do and how you convey your message. For me it’s about the story that the streets and buildings hold - am I the only one imagining what the walls might have heard and seen All the lives and destinies it has touched These are just some of the thoughts that flow through my mind in the process of a piece. It feels like I become closer connected to the history of the object for each stitch 🌸 I remember trying out some contrast pieces with single stranded black thread and I really love this progression from drawing to the finished sketch and finally embroidery... this is also part of the inspiration for the larger piece that I’m working on right now... trying to figure out how to put the contrasts, depth and Impressionism together. What are your thoughts You can see the progress by swiping left 🙏🏻
