Well, the picture is all about #Dehydrated #fruits and some #fruit #veggies...😍
I am always very fascinated for such foods...yesterday on my way back I came across this shop and found these foods - Dehydrated blue berries, cranberries, cherries, lemon, mango, Pineapple, #Pomelo, as well as A Jar of Kashmiri lasoon( #Garlic) and also a jar of dehydrated mix fruits.
There are several advantages of these dehydrated foods...like they have a long shelf life (can be stored for longer period of time), prevents spoilage or decay, light weight and occupies loss space, tastes great, less expensive, and reduces wastes.
Disadvantages of these foods are: doesn't taste same as fresh, molds, calorie dense and deficient in Nutrients like Vitamin A & C.
I would like to go for those dehydrated fruits and veggies which are seasonal so that I can have them all year round...so what's your take on this

The humble garlic - throughout the centuries garlic has acquired a reputation as a prophylactic and therapeutic plant. Some oldest references have been found in Zoroastrian holy writings probably compiled in the 6th century BC. The ancient Sumerians and Egyptians used it. Garlic was widely used in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. There is now an epidemilogic evidence that demonstrates therapeutic roles of garlic.
Allicin is the principal bio active compound in garlic and the allinase enzyme gets activated when the garlic is crushed or chopped.
The favourable properties of garlic include reduction of risk factors for cardiovascular disease, reduction of cancer risk, anti-oxidant effect, enhancement of detoxification, antimicrobial, anti-fungal and anti-viral effect and detoxification properties. So needless to say - use plentifully.

I have a secret in all my cooking and it’s....
Can you believe I never knew how amazing garlic was until LAST YEAR (It’s a story for another day)
Sometimes we underestimate the power of ingredients, but I don’t think anyone who cooks would ever underestimate garlic! Adding it to your cooking can provide so much flavor!
How do you cook with garlic
You can either add it to the end or beginning of your cooking depending on what you’re making and what type of flavor you’re looking for. I love the sweetness that comes out from it, so I like to chop it up and sauté it at the beginning of most of my dishes. .
But if you want to get a KICK out of it, crush it as opposed to chopping it and add it more toward the end of your cooking.
What can you put it in How do I even answer that Because it is SO versatile! 🌿When in doubt add garlic🌿
Other than its flavor, the amazing thing about garlic is its BENEFITS.
Not only do they deter vampires 🧛♂️ , they’re also great for your health! .
Garlic contains manganese, vitamin v, vitamin c, and a little selenium. It also has other trace vitamins and minerals.
Garlic has been shown in many studies to help reduce blood pressure due to its antioxidative properties. .
Many studies have found a decrease in LDL and total cholesterol! Decreasing both are important to prevent heart disease.
Overall, garlic has a lot of antioxidants, which are generally important in preventing oxidative damage and onset of diseases.

Garlic, lentil and tomato soup
2tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, crushed
150g split red lentils, washed
400g tin chopped tomatoes
850ml vegetable stock
Heat the oil in a saucepan.
Add the chopped onions and garlic and saute for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Transfer the ingredients to your soup maker. Add the remaining ingredients to your soup maker.
Ensure you don't go above the MAX line in your soup maker, if needed, top up the MIN line with hot water. Put the lid on and select the smooth setting.

Found these lobster bites in the freezer section @marianosmarket and I’ve gotta say they were a great snack! Served up with some cocktail sauce & homemade roasted garlic ghee ! Tasted just like red lobster! Lol!
Reicpe in bio ⬆ Taking this photo made my mouth water! 🦐🍤🦐🍤 Hadn't made these garlic crusted king prawns in a while and I really don't know why becuase they are so delicious and EASY! These really are best made with the shell on because they flavour the oil, which you wipe up with the prawn meat, of course. Frozen whole prawns are totally fine to use if you can't find fresh. Back to eating now. Bye!

As a fan of Mediterranean fare, I’ve enjoyed the finger foods in Europe. Colorful, tasty, and ubiquitous! It’s especially nice that whenever you order a drink in Madrid it comes with a side dish for free. #olives #grapes #garlic #peppers #salsa #market #europe #eattherainbow
