🇨🇭🇬🇧🇩🇪 "Excuse me What did you say Jin You humans start to eat mealworms Im not okay with that. In the name of all gerbils: We share everything with you humans, BUT NOT MEALWORMS. No way!" -Patschi
Translation of the second picture I took in a restaurant some days ago (swipe left):
Mealworm-Patty, Cocktail-Sauce, tomatoes, salad (...)"
Did you ever try insects 😁
"Entschuldigung bitte Was hast du gerade gesagt Jin Ihr Menschen habt angefangen Mehlwürmer zu essen Damit bin ich nicht einverstanden. Im Namen aller Rennmäuse: Wir teilen ja echt alles mit euch Menschen, ABER NICHT UNSERE MEHLWÜRMER. Keine Chance!" -Patschi
(Nach links wischen um den Mehlwurmburger zu begutachten). Schon mal probiert 😁

Venus seemed more than happy to be the face of this post.
The antibiotics didn’t do a great deal to reduce the size of Leia’s abscess, but she had started having some discharge from the abscess itself.
The vet decided to give Leia a whiff of gas and lance the abscess. It went really well, and Leia is home and safe on her own until the wound that’s left heals. The smell is truly something we will never forget 😬. She is back in the vets on Monday to have a check up, and is carrying on with all her medication in the meantime, along with some gentle cleaning of the wound with a syringe to keep it clean.
Next at the vet was Lucy who had responded brilliantly to the Amoxicillin and Metacam to help manage her Pyometra. She will be on antibiotics for a little while, but she has no discharge whatsoever now, which is fantastic.
Diane was also in with Pyometra after trialing Amoxicillin and Metacam. Sadly Diane didn’t seem to respond to the antibiotics at all, and then yesterday she seemed to deteriorate quite dramatically. Our vet seemed keen to go ahead with a full hysterectomy, as if we are completely honest she has nothing to lose. Given her current state, the options were euthanasia or to attempt the surgery. We decided to go ahead and give it a try. The surgery will be taking place on Monday, however if need be our vet said she would come in earlier, even on her day off to help Diane in a crisis. Obviously if when they open Diane up and the infection seems to be at a point of no return, we would have to look at our options again.
Ralph also ended up going to the vets today with what can only be described as a “mystery illness”. Our vet believed he was harbouring some-kind of infection, and without sounding like every vet ever, decided to trial him on baytril for a week and see how he gets on. Poor little Ralph!
Finally, Shmi also attended alongside Leia to discuss having her spayed. Once everything settles down, Shmi will most definitely be spayed as we believe it would be beneficial, however it is none-urgent.
As always, we will keep you all updated with everyones progress as best as we can. 🐾

Hello everyone! Today I have a bad new to announce.
Unfortunately this is the end of the trio Voyou Goliath and Koda.
Goliath has always wanted to dominate but Voyou always been the dominant and yesterday they fought.
So I decided to separate them because they will not agree on this anymore.
they will live in the same terrarium but separated in two parts by a fence.
