At one point, I obsessed about working out, it was my freshman year of college. I measured my food, and worked out over an hour each day. It wasn’t healthy.

I was dairy free for over a year because of breastfeeding my daughter who had a dairy allergy. I cut soooo many of my favorite foods (ok like legitimately all of them) out of my diet overnight. It was hard, but a lot easier than I originally had thought, because I was doing it for her, not me. Well I should say it was easier to manage the cravings for her, not necessarily easier to not eat dairy because finding prepared foods that don’t have dairy or traces of dairy in them is difficult!! ..
Now it’s been about a month since I weaned her, and I can tell it’s much more difficult for me to say no to anything dairy. Like I ate boxed mac n cheese last week that really didn’t taste that good just because I used to love it so much. I can use butter in food i make for the rest of my family, and not have to make mine separate. Trying things like “oh, do I still like this” Or “does this taste as good as I remember” just to try them. I’ve been doing SO. MUCH. SNACKING. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ I need to figure out a different way to approach this or it’s going to get real ugly real quick....ask me how I know 😣 I’m already up a few pounds from eating pizza yesterday (which you would think wouldn’t matter that much, but here we are) and today is even worse. But I know I can get back on track, I just need to out a plan in place and follow it!! ..

It’s refreshing to mix up your workouts.
Steve and I used to play tennis together before kids and it was really fun to get out on the court again!
As long as you have rackets and a ball you should be able to find free courts where you live.
What’s most rewarding is seeing how active the kids are getting and wanting to be more involved (especially Carter).
Because we’re more active the kids are spending more time playing and less time on their iPads.
It’s a small win because in my heart I knew they were on devices more than I wanted them to be.
Now they’re more active and trying new things. It’s never to late to shake things up ❤️
